For me, The Northman is one of the best movies released in 2022. I just wanted to extend it a little bit more with the deleted scenes included in the 4K UHD.

It is the same movie that we love, but extended.

To make a slightly different movie keeping the supernatural touch that it was left ambiguous in the original movie.

A classic wartime "men on a mission" movie with fantastic production values and performances. But the pacing of the storytelling does drag in parts from a modern viewpoint.

Lois Lane gets rescued by a mystery man and endeavours to find him and tell his story. We are taken through a story of discovery and a man's determination to make up for the loss of his father. This fanedit rearranges the original scene order and removes many flashbacks, while adding much colour grading to accentuate the mood of each scene. It also refocuses the movie on Lois and Clark, removing much of the subplots of the military and the People of Metropolis.

From a shallow POV, the original movie is a mix of “The Wolverine” (Japan setting) and Logan (Dies at the end, mentors protégé.) But since the script is a rip off of the 1950s film D.O.A., we lean into that – trying to leave some mystery as long as possible. I love that part of Huntress's mythos is that she crusades to put an end to the crime families. All the violence in this edit is focused on yakuza gangs, so I think this edit ends up working well within the overall idea of Helena Bertinelli, pre New-52. Also that Varrick's agency could actually be Spyral.

I, like many have always felt Star Trek : Generations was a disappointment. But I saw a good movie in there. I loved the cast, the performances were good, I liked the story, and the vibe of it. Where it failed was a slow and boring pacing. This is not a new take on the story, merely a faster, more exciting, and more engaging presentation of it. It's no longer slow or meandering and it's much more intense.

Transformers is a film that came at just the right time in my life - at 13 years old, the concept of giant alien robots fighting each other and turning into all manner of vehicles was mind-blowing. Unfortunately in the years that followed, my tastes in films changed, and the film I once adored became hard to sit through. Since the nostalgia was still there, I started to wonder whether I could trim the film to live up to my teenage image of it, and spurred on by my discovery of Harmy's Despecialized Editions and this website, I went ahead and gave it a go.

There and Back Again is a fan edit of the Hobbit Trilogy that aims to tell the story in a single film. The bloat of the original movies is excised to create a more concise and exciting experience.

Find out in SHROUD OF THE DARK SIDE, a fanedit that uses deleted scenes (AI-upscaled to 4K with HDR) and some redone visual effects to restructure the love story in "Attack of the Clones" to proceed more naturally and realistically while also streamlining and making sense of the politics behind the Grand Army of the Republic and the Jedi Council.

A combo edit of Halloween (2018) and Halloween Kills made to feel like a singular experience both in narrative and runtime. Halloween Kills events have been shifted into the Halloween 2018 narrative while lots of music cues have been changed to better suit this particular edit. Some scenes have been cut to get us into the action sooner while other scenes have been cut due to poor audience reception (every single Tivoli bit is gone from Halloween Kills).

The greedy Trade Federation has established a blockade of warships around the planet of Naboo and threatened her people with starvation. It is up to a small band of heroes, including two jedi, a queen, and a young boy from Tattooine, to save the people of Naboo from the sinister Nute Gunray and his fellow Neimoidians.

Essentially, this project aims to restore James Mangold's original vision for the film, before the studio enforced changes to the script. Knowledge of the original script, and how it was changed, comes directly from Mangold himself as well as behind the scenes commentary. The "identity reveal" of Silver Samurai being the real villain was definitely not part of that script, and Viper was also added because the studio wanted a villain with superpowers. So in this edit, she's been reduced to almost non-existence in the film as well.

Specifically, this edit completely removes the third act and any prior scenes or shots setting it up. The effect of cutting this is that it eliminates a plot-hole fuelled twist that comes totally out of left field, but that it also returns the story to being told almost exclusively from Logan's point-of-view; thus honouring Mangold's original vision, for a small-scale neo-noir grounded in real world stakes -- rather than a VFX heavy tent-pole designed to compete with bigger-scale films from that year.

I have helped Silver Screen Samurai come up with the broad strokes of the final act, but they created the first nightmare and the end of the ninja battle until the airport scene all on their own, in order to fulfil their vision completely.

The Living Daylights makes for a striking introduction to Timothy Dalton's iteration of James Bond (particularly after the Roger Moore era), not to mention a charming and exciting throwback to classical espionage adventures and the Ian Fleming novels themselves. It is, however, also held back by the sensibilities of the time, antiquated pacing (even for when it was released), and an apparent desire to not stray too far from the campier and leerier vibes of the films that preceded it.
The aim of this edit was to bring the standard of the film up to that of the central performance. I wanted to bring out the exciting, thrilling and romantic qualities of the film whilst downplaying its flaws, all while giving the technical execution of the film a more modern edge.

After uncovering a mysterious artifact buried beneath the Lunar surface, a spacecraft is sent to Jupiter to find its origins - a spacecraft manned by two men and the supercomputer H.A.L. 9000.

Evoking the emotions of the original, this tackles shot lengths and pacing and highlights H.A.L.'s motivations for a more approachable version of the film.

New watchers of the film should find this more approachable. Thank you for considering...The Short Cut.

The Book of Eli, if it were a PG-13 action movie.

ABC forced Frost and Lynch to name the killer mid-season and it really changed the series direction from Episode 10 and on.
This fanfix covers ONLY those episodes, which is everything after Laura's killer's reveal.

The goal of this edit is to keep the main Cooper/Black Lodge story in focus while also keeping the subplots that
actually had a payoff at the end of the season and keeping Windom Earle a more menacing force.

This edit pares off some runtime to improve pacing, and edits certain aspects of the story so the main characters enter the story without prior knowledge of each other.

Going to see Crystal Skull on opening night is probably the worst cinematic experience I've ever had. You could just feel the room deflate, all the energy disappear, the excitement turned to disappointment. I hated it.

However, time has been kinder than expected to the film. Maybe it's comparing it to what passes for modern "adventure" filmmaking, but it's sort of outdated style kind of works in its favor. There's a lot of things that do work about it. Harrison Ford and the rest of the cast are game. Though it's kind of a "left hand" movie from Spielberg, he's still the greatest movie director of our lifetimes, so it's still got some great visuals and action. The story could be intriguing.

By cutting out scenes that are out of character and using alternant or deleted material form the movie I wanted to give this movie a different feel. I also rescored scenes with different music to recontextualize or emphasize different moments in the movie.

I've removed the “flashback scene” from Vertigo to align with a) the source novel “D’entre Les Morts” and b) Alfred Hitchcock’s longtime screenwriter/uncredited collaborator Joan Harrison’s insistence that the movie worked better without this scene, which gives away a major plot twist nearly half an hour before the film's climax. Prior to its theatrical release, Harrison arranged for a screening of her cut for Hitchcock and his wife Alma, James and Gloria Stewart and the film’s producer Herbert Coleman, which ended with a divided audience. Ultimately the film’s producer and distributors swayed Hitchcock to their side and the scene stayed in, with Hitchcock later stating that he preferred suspense to surprise.

My main Intentions were to remove any reference to things that have been removed from my edits of the films, I've also added some deleted segments & removed some filler/odd comments.

This is Spicediver's 1080p high definition rebuild of Dune The Alternative Edition Redux, his 2012 fanedit (in 480 standard definition) of David Lynch's 1984 science fiction film.

This edit removes the extensive expository dialogue from Gordon, makes the Penguin a strong mob-boss (not a buffoon), changes Batman's overall arc, and restructures the storyline to remove and replace the studio tacked-on flood/shooter ending.

At 2 hours and 32 minutes, "The Batman Unmasked" doesn't redefine the original source but delivers a leaner thriller while maintaining the essential mood and story.

This is a horror version of Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. It uses much but not all of Corridor Crew's VFX. 99% of the music and score is replaced to give it a 70's horror movie vibe. Slightly grindhoused. Warning: rated R imagery. Some viewers may find the content disturbing. Tyler Durden probably spliced some of this film. Enjoy!

Captain America's "Civil War" made us choose between Duty and Friends. It pitted friends and colleagues against each other. Eternals presents this dilemma with far higher stakes. Now we have Duty not just to a government but to the parent/creator, and going against that duty will impact billions of lives. Now the Friends aren't just colleagues for years, but family for millenia.
The stakes are life-or-death high, yet the audience is left largely indifferent because ten (10!) new heroes compete for limited screen-time and character development. None of them earn a place in our hearts the way that better fleshed-out, and relatable, heroes like Captain Rogers and Tony Stark have.
Eternals isn't the best Marvel movie but it is unique and interesting. It deserves criticism, but even more than that it deserves wider viewing.

This edit focuses the narrative on the renunciation, criticism, and eventual opposition to the goals of their god Arishem. IMO this movie was a metaphor for the different ways of questioning authority - misguided soldiers, missionaries, colonizers, etc… these basic concepts are I wanted to elevate.

Using Pink Floyd's "Time" as a jumping off point, this edit also includes new songs from Pearl Jam, Massive Attack, Tool, and the Alan Parson's Project.

Batman & Robin DEEP FREEZE doesn't attempt to be as serious as The Batman or as dark as the Nolan trilogy, but something closer to the feel of The Animated Series, just in live form. Mr. Freeze, now a more sympathetic villain, has little to no one-liners, Bane is completely excised and Poison Ivy isn't created by a mad scientist pushing her into a shelf. There is no Elliot Goldenthal Batman theme, but a lot of his music is still included. New opening titles and a small set of end credits have been created (and of course giving Bill Finger the credit he deserves).

This fan edit uses the Snyder Cut as the foundational source but transitions over the course of the edit into the Whedon third act.

A more streamlined and family focused story about Shang-Chi and his power mad father.

24 minutes cut from the film, the pacing is upped and the story is clearer. Less time is spent on subplots, but the important elements remain. Some music homages to the TV series have been added.

A savage and unsentimental a film. Except for an embarrassingly sentimental, sappy prologue and epilogue. This is a version without schmaltz that does not pander to the audience.
