Brief Synopsis:
I've always wanted versions of the first two Terminator films that don't spoil the plot upfront, but instead let the story play out in more of a noir mystery style. This is the second of those two edits.
Intention:
My goal was to create a version of the film that doesn't explain the plot upfront, but instead allows the story unfold naturally as the film progresses & saves it's surprises.
Additional Notes:
No explanatory text/narration- We're dropped in blind & the story tells itself. No dates mentioned- This keeps the future a threat in our present time. No Terminator POV- It's spoilery for my intentions & looks too primitive. No visions of the future- It's also spoilery for my intentions & I like keeping the audience in the present. I've also made many additional cuts & alterations to assemble my own ideal version of the story.

Likes:
-many small changes that make a big difference
-many of the cuts remove scenes/parts of scenes that don't add to the story and possibly detract from it
-removal of all scenes from the future provides a very unique viewing experience
-removal of a lot of cheesy scenes throughout dramatically improves the seriousness of the horror/thriller vibe

Dislikes:
-no 4k version with high quality audio
-time portal opening/closing scene shortening feels unnecessary
-removal of all shots from viewpoint of terminator feels a bit heavy-handed, mainly would like to see the minigun/grenade launcher "0 casualties" shot returned as it adds to the charm without being cheesy, compared with, say, the smile scene which is cheesy as hell (guilty pleasure scene :D)

Recommendations:
-Would like to see the Terminator 2 eye fix scene by CORDZ added. This adds subtle eye movements to the ending scene where the terminator's eye is not moving in the film. It is beautiful work - LINK - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vc9PCYjX4mM&t=3s
-Would like to see some scenes of the future returned (elaborated below)
-Would like to see the bike jump scene in the canal replaced with the updated 4k version (can clearly tell it is stunt double)
-Would like to see a 4k version (I know the 4k blu ray is considered a bad transfer by many, but I prefer that version even though I am definitely in the minority)
-Would like to see the end credits scene removed, as this films existence should mean no more future war, otherwise everything leading up to this point has been pointless

I consider this a damn good edit of T2. The removal of the future scene at the beginning is the biggest detraction for me, as I feel showing few scenes of the future is better than none because we get to see what will happen if they don't stop it. Without that, it lessens the impact of both T1 and T2. I'd like to see the T3 future scene added (minus the bottle dropping) to the beginning of the film. Definitely my favorite fan edit of T2 so far. No 4k and no future scenes detract enough for me to keep me from saying it is better than the original, but the massive improvements mean this is edit is a must-have in any terminator series fan's library. Thanks to the editor for your hard work!

While there are many Terminator 2 fan edits out there, this one is one of the better ones that exist. This fan edit compliments Ray Danger's Terminator work and adds to his long history of making excellent fan edits. Once again I'm impressed by the fact he removed the T-800 heads up display like he did in his Terminator edit. The HUD is a bit dated and isn't missed in this edit either. I'm also once again in favor of his decision to remove the flash-forward scenes in the future. The nuclear explosion is a great scene as well as the future war scenes but they are not really missed in the big picture of this double fan edit. The trimming of the many scenes throughout the movie were well chosen and really tighten up the flow as well as the action of the movie. I enjoyed the addition of the chip reset deleted scene but I would have preferred the entire scene rather than the slightly truncated version in this edit, Overall, I'm very satisfied with this fan edit and think it's a worthy addition to anyone's fan edit collection. While it won't be my go to for watching this movie, it's a great alternative, especially with this fan editor's previous Terminator fan edit made to compliment it. Well done.

Ray continues his straight-to-business approach from the first film. While that style fit the 1984 film like a glove, here the editing is much more extensive for a film with a very different tone and approach. Ray's work is technically excellent and his cuts are seamless and well placed. Personally I think it makes for a much weaker film in many respects (losing a lot of the charm that made the theatrical so fun and special), but if you're looking for a version of T2 more in line with the first film, you certainly can't go wrong here.

John is almost tolerable in this edit and that alone makes it a keeper for me. As with the edit of the first movie, keeping the story in the present works very well to add suspense back into a movie I've seen so many times. Well done, thank you!
