This is a solid alternative to a significantly dated and flawed movie. Terminators act like their function dictates they should, cornier jokes and callbacks are omitted. It's not a movie I tend to reflect on with much fondness (even though, gullible me, I saw it twice in theatres), but this is an edit Antman can reflect on with pride as it manages to become T3's "Salvation". This is his edit's judgement day, and it is spared a dark fa...(ok, I'm stop with the lousy title puns now)

As said in this Podcast episode: https://youtu.be/djrZ2RE1gM4

The editing is solid. A+.

This for me fixes Terminator 3. Does it make it perfect? Of course not but it makes it closer in tone to the first two and makes the overall story much better. Cuts down on most of the cheese and makes the Terminators act more like well Terminators. Also helps make John less of a clueless dumb ass.

Should also be noted the copy I got had a borked 5.1 track where the center channel was in the back.... I had to re-encode with Handbrake as a flat Stereo track. Not even Pro-Logic would fix this issue.

If you didn't like T3, you might like this. If you already liked T3 you'll probably love this. I say check it out.

TERMINATOR 3 - THE COMING STORM by Uncanny Antman

The edit:
Great. I did not spot any hard cuts or audio issues. The execution was masterfully crafted and shows quite a lot of experience in fanediting. The flow of this fanedit is so much better than the original movie, I was entertained all the time. The way John and Kate interact now is way more believable and makes a lot more sense. I discovered a snippet from DARK ANGEL on a monitor and this is one more proof for the playful way, in which UA likes to edit his movies. Really great and makes me look VERY forward to anything else that will come from him.
editing: 5 of 5,
entertainment: 5 of 5

Image quality:
I only watched the 700mb avi version of it and of course the image quality is not the best, but it is still good.
video quality: 4 of 5

Audio quality:
The audio for the avi version is mp-3 107kb/s, which for sure is not the best quality. It sounds alright though. There are no audio flaws which I spotted.
audio: 3 of 5

resulting in a 4 of 5 overall rating from me, which can change into a 5 of 5, once the DVD is released. This is a huge improvement over the original and shows a lot of talent and expertise from the faneditor Uncanny Antman. This is Terminator 3 like I always wanted to see it and I definitely recommend it for viewing.

T3 was always one of the movies that I use to say "so close – but yet so far"
This edit makes it a little closer for me. and is probably one of the best FanEdits I've seen for T3, but I still feel like its missing a few elements story wise and such.

Cutting out the introduction of Kate, Matt and her Father and then introducing her in the middle of the night from the vet call, just felt a bit awkward to me.

All the humor is cut, and while not all of it was good I agree, but there's a few parts where its almost needed to give your audience a little breath.

The only other issue I had with this edit was that it was SD and stereo. An HD version of this edit in 5.1 would of been great.

Being a FanEditor myself I hate giving harsh critiques like that, because sometimes its all opinion based – hence why we do these edits in the first place.

Overall this is a great T3 edit, and I did enjoy it and do recommend it.

Thanks UA, I'll be watching this a few more times – hopefully one day you can do an HD Version.

I found the lack of humour and overload of action discomforting, but I did enjoyed the linear storytelling and the dark tone of this edit. Technically it's a shame this edit isn't available in HD (although it's reported as such in a review below). The video is very dark and the stereo audio track has no center and surround in and out of phase for prologic and neo:6 decoders. I had to re-encode the file to be able to watch it smoothly and in the correct aspect ratio on my old 2007 HD television.
