This fan-edit(Tarantino Tales: Episode 7 - Inglourious Basterds) of inglorious bastards is a very good condensed version of the film in question.
This condensed fan-edit version concentrates on the main story & main characters. I was a little worried that necessary content (ie: characters & scenarios) would be cut to fit the shorter time frame, but rest assured that is not the case.
Basically a lot of filler content & unneccesary characters where cut, yet Tarantino Tales: Episode 7 - Inglourious Basterds maintained & preserved the main buildup, points & characters of the movie that needed to be communicated to the movie going audience.
All of the classic scene's are here with a lot of good moments. Tarantino Tales: Episode 7 - Inglourious Basterds also has music that is different from the original film. Having an ear for good taste in music is a must when viewing this fan-edit. This film is not disappointing at all. All in all good choice of music & placement of music for this fan-edit.
I recommend Tarantino Tales: Episode 7 - Inglourious Basterds for people that do not feel like sitting through a long movie yet are curious to know the movie in question. Or for people who have already seen the movie yet want the main movie without the filler embellishments or silly scenario's
Everything is top-notch with Tarantino Tales: Episode 7 - Inglourious Basterds,
as you won't be disappointed.
A Fantastic & tasteful job with Tarantino Tales: Episode 7 - Inglourious Basterds.

What can I say that others haven't! Fantastic edit, both technically and narratively. Since most people have already said everything I was going to say I'll just throw some random thoughts out there:
-- It was a very interesting decision to keep the first "carved swastika" hidden and just show Hitler's reaction to it, kept the mystery going, I initially didn't like it but the more I watched the more I liked it, and the fact that Aldo explains the whole thing to Landa at the end anyway really sealed it for me as a good change.
-- The Bowie music was flawless. "We could be heroes" right as Aldo is speaking, the banging drum and guitar lead-up to "...brief him", "Faaaaame!" as Landa walked in, making the music diegetic to the Hammersmark scene in the cinema, and the cinema massacre with the music blaring was GREAT. Extremely well done to the point that I can't even imagine how you did it.
-- Great work on the 10 second black-and-white flashback to Shoshana as a child! And the slight record scratch when she hears they're switching the venue to her theater was fun.
(NOTE: I was told this part was on an artistic choice done on purpose, so it gets a 10 and I'm leaving my comment here for posterity). The only thing I noticed is that I couldn't hear what Shoshana was saying in the theater because the new music was too loud. So much of the audio editing in the movie is flawless, but for me this is a very impactful moment, the stomped-down Jewish girl finally faces her tormenters and tells them "fuck you, now you die!" so to miss the dialogue was tough for me
Fantastic work ArtisDead! You somehow managed to cut 57% of the movie and keep 100% of the narrative, while adding a fun new flair to the whole thing with your soundtrack!

Where to begin? Let's start with that incredible opening theme/montage for this series. Terrific doesn't come close to describe it!
I had a blast!
Incredibly fun project and great result! Dialogue is still clear even with the songs added, which I wasn't expecting to be fair.
Psycho Killer was great and fit better than i thought it would even though a review already mentioned it. It truly enhanced the scene in an unexpected way!
Loved the bowie song Gasoline when she is standing next to the window! Absolutely perfect match and serves the narrative perfectly! Again, it enhanced the scene.
Pink Floyd at the end was perfect.
The other songs to me didn't make that much of an impact, simply because it was a bit too much for me personally. During 'talky' scenes I prefer to have no background music, or not too busy music. But they still felt like a good match for the scenes so props to the editor!
Landa's introduction was epic. It was refreshing and fun! The black and white was *chef's kiss*
The narrative obviously suffers a little bit since you cut away more than 50% to serve the series formula, but I wont fault you for that. In fact that you were able to keep most of the story intact is remarkable! You can still easily follow the story, but it inevitably loses some of the original's punch.
I don;t know the original by heart, but I can say that I will probably hear Gasoline in my head next time I watch the original, which is telling.
Great work Artisdead, and thank you! If this episode is any indication this whole series will be great fun for any Tarantino or fanedit fan in general!

I always felt Inglourious was a bit of a tonal and pacing mess; some bits were golddust and some went on too long because QT didn't know when to quit. ArtisDead has tightened this thing up and focused on the main spine: Aldo Raine's attempt to get as deep into enemy territory as possible and the resultant two-pronged scheme to blow up the cinema with the upper command of the Nazis within.
The edit employs mostly Bowie music to give the piece more tonal consistency and a more rock'n'roll flavor but also keeps some of the best scenes between Landa (Waltz) and Shoshanna to build to the theatre climax. Some scenes are still too languid (the briefing with an old Rod Taylor (never realized that@!) and Mike Myers; when they pick up Shoshanna outside her theatre) but that's in the DNA of the originanl material. Still ArtisDead has employed what must be 100s of microcuts throughout to make the thing move in a short time to the big climax which is further enhanced by an unexpected Pink Floyd song during the explosions.
As it is with most fanedits, if you don't miss anything (too much) that's been cut it's a success and this episode (7 of 10) certainly is. I look forward to seeing what other editors do with other films.
Recommended for fans of IB and even for people who didn't quite like it before!

For a fanedit that takes a 2 and a half hour film and turns it into a 1 hour episode, it's amazing how the edit manages to portray a coherent story.
Any sharp eared viewers will instantly notice the use of 80s songs (primarily a good bit of Bowie) replacing the bulk of the soundtrack which, aside from some select scenes, makes the edit a fun experience, and even enhances a few of the fan favourite moments ("psycho killer" playing during the bear jew scene is a personal favourite).
Diehard fans of the original film like myself will however notice the diminished presence of one of the greatest villains ever created: Hans Landa. Although still included, his scenes have been either edited or removed altogether, which sadly gives him a lesser presence than his theatrical counterpart, however, adds an interesting new perspective of the edit which now thrusts the general nazi army/ideology into the antagonist role.
This episode of tarantino tales is certaintly a fun watch and aside from a couple distracting audio decisions is a very tightly edited video that serves as a fresh perspective for those familiar with the film, and a worthy enough affair for those hoping to experience it for the first time.
