As fan editing seems to mostly be a solitary endeavor it is nice to see a collaboration like this. This is the first and only episode I have viewed so far. I appreciate less-is-more editing, that is removing unnecessary shots/characters etc, and still telling a coherent story. This edit accomplishes this, and as a good TV episode should do, it makes me want to watch other episodes. I will say that I was not a big fan of this movie when it came out. Tarantino kind of lost me after "Kill Bill Part 1." He became too campy/over-the-top. This film and "Once Upon a Time in Hollywood" seem like Tarantino's personal wish fulfillment/revenge porn. They are his way of showing how he would prefer history to have happened, rather than how it did happen. It’s not a terrible 1-star movie, but it's just not for me. I don’t find a lot of comedy in WWII personally which was a problem I had with "Jojo Rabbit" as well. "Jojo Rabbit" wasn’t a horrible movie, just not really my taste.

I still watch every Tarantino movie but I wait for the video now. With that out of the way, I did enjoy myself quite a lot watching this 1-hour version of "Inglourious Basterds." There is a lot of music in it, primarily from David Bowie, yet whenever I thought it was too much or needed to fade out it did. Sometimes you have to have silence in the background to let the film and the audience breathe. I liked how in one scene the rock music is meant to be playing on a turntable for the characters. I would normally not recommend music with lyrics playing during dialogue scenes. I believe this happened a couple of times. I would have had the music fade out completely in those instances.

The audio levels sounded good on my system and the visuals were crisp with no obvious cutting errors. I liked the hard-coded bold yellow subtitles for the non-English parts as it was easy to read. Christoph Waltz’s famous line about the milk has been cut but ArtisDead used a cool little montage to show the important parts of that scene in a matter of seconds. Because of the psychedelic rock music in the soundtrack if you have an edible beforehand or a cocktail I think you will have a good time.
