I have to say this edit is masterful. The narrative edits, the seamless transitions all really make this version of Tron Legacy shine.

I am a huge Tron fan, and it was and still is severely underrated,

I am happy to see it get the attention and passion that it is shown in this edit.

Do you really dislike Tron: Legacy? Yes? Then this edit is not going to make you like it.
Were you ambivalent about Tron: Legacy? Yes? Then you might really enjoy this edit!

Wakeupkeo trims over 30 minutes from this film, and I didn't miss a single one. It's a leaner, slicker piece of big popcorn cheese. But popcorn cheese it is. With many of the worst lines and most pointless side-plots gone, we're still left with a film that really has nothing to say and that's built on mind-numbingly typical dialogue. Props to the editor for making the film's strongest asset, the amazing Daft Punk soundtrack, flow smoothly and undisturbed. There were a few lines where the audio editing stood out to me, but nothing so jarring that I had to mark off points. Keeping the music flow intact was the truly impressive bit. Visual editing is even more flawless (I had a moment of slight confusion in the CLU/TRON fight, but not sure if that was due to the fanediting or original editing and I'm too unmotivated to check.)

Did I "enjoy" the narrative? Well, not that much. But more than the original, so it seems inappropriate to take points off here. This film is definitely an improvement on the original Tron: Legacy. It's still a huge wasted opportunity and I'd recommend the animated series instead (Tron: Uprising- amazing cast!) but Wakeupkeo has succeeded at making a bad movie less bad.

Watched the fanedit late last night, so I've had about 24 hours to let it soak in. In one word, outstanding. I have been a gamer since the beginning. Owned an Atari, Commodore 64, and most everything else everything since then. When Tron came out in 1982 I was 10. It was everything I could have hoped for. 28 years later Legacy comes out. A good movie, but not a great one. It definitely did not live up to the unrealistic memories of a 10 year old. When I saw this fanedit posted I was hoping it would fulfill the promise the sequel didn't make good on. It did that and then some.

The story was seamless. When watching it you don't feel like your watching an edit. The video and audio quality is top notch. There is a reason I gave it all 10's. It deserves all of them. Mind you, you have to enjoy the theme to truly appreciate what this editor did. Sci-fi is a fickle mistress.

If you like Tron and/or the sequel, or you like sci-fi in general, you should watch this edit. It is great, and guess what? Tron 3 is supposedly slated for 2025, so we all have that to look forward to.

Thank you, Wakeupkeo for making this. This really feels like a labor of love and I appreciate you sharing your vision of this movie with me.

Great, man. Fantastic. The narrative is stronger, the villains are more intimidating and imposing, the structure is clearer. Everything is better.
I give a 9 on visual editing though, because some cuts were too obvious, but it doesn't mess up the enjoyment of the whole thing.
Definite 9.5/10 movie.

This is a really impressive effort. While I think the ending was a bit rushed, and some of the added voice-over was awkward at times, this edit quite successfully streamlines the narrative and improves the pacing overall. Unquestionably preferable to the theatrical cut.
