I absolutely hated the original film, so by making this something watchable, you've worked miracles. Thank you for redeeming this movie!

Going into this edit, I was a little cautious. The opening scene after the Gore prologue with the Guardians I felt was really well done, but such a drastically different tone from what was presented in the theatrical cut. I was worried I would miss some of the comedy throughout the film... but all of my worries were for not!

Tremault has done a terrific job in removing so much of the unnecessary, over the top comedy! The result of which is a vastly superior movie with an actually compelling story that focuses on love and protecting those closest to us.
Jane being revealed when Thor first sees her is great. I do miss some of the flashback stuff, since I feel like we never got a quality set up for their relationship Jane's prior two film appearances, but I also don't see a place where they could go back in. Similarly, I wouldn't mind seeing some of the chemo-treatment scene integrated when Jane's cancer is revealed. That said, the edit still works really well without those scenes.
Removing the "love triangle" between Thor and his two weapons is a hugely welcome change, done seamlessly, and features one truly awesome transition shot around 26 minutes in! The crowning achievement of this edit, however, has got to be the improvements made to the Gore story line. Removing much of the comedy helps to make Gore no longer feels like he's in a completely different movie! With the run time cut, Gore isn't ever gone for too long, and the reduction of overt comedy really helps ground the story with Gore, which is a tragedy at it's core. Now, the ending is a little abrupt, I wouldn't mind the epilogue scene being reinserted, even if it is a little campy. But I also respect the decision to end it where it does.

Overall, while it doesn't completely redeem Love and Thunder, this edit is such a vast improvement from the theatrical cut!

I enjoyed this edit quite a bit.
When this movie came out I was expecting Thor Ragnarok Part 2, well it wasn't that at all, too many jokes and too much comedy crammed into it. This edit cuts just enough humor and and keeps just enough humor as well. Thor is the Thor we all know and love, not the buffoon he is portrayed in Love and Thunder.

As other's have said, the original movie was such a let down, in some ways it seems post endgame the bigwigs at marvel haven't known what director to take the franchise in (that said I've enjoyed the tv shows.) After the success of Ragnarok, I think everyone expected Taika to capture lightning in a bottle a second time Sadly the jokes in that film that didn't work for me, were quadrupled for this film's theatrical release and thus I personally deem it the worst of the MCU entries.

Tremault has taken the arduous task of going through the film and trimming the fat, or more aptly excising the cancer. Don't get me wrong there is still humour and perhaps ever so slightly more than I thought there would be, but the very obnoxious and juvenile stuff is no longer present so the characters can at least breathe. What is left is the story that focuses on Gorr's meance, Jane's dilemma/choice and maybe even restores a little maturity to Thor, the only downside is that when you trim all the excess crap that padded out the runtime, the credits roll around the 1:18 mark, but that's the sacrifice one has to make if you want to enjoy the film.
I felt so excited hearing that Jaime Alexander was back after being absent from the last few Thor centric films, but then to see her original cameo being reduced to what it was, she suffered a worse fate than the warriors three. With reduced screentime her fate feels more ambiguous but she at least got to drop her relevant piece of exposition and keep her dignity intact.

In spite of it's flaw (the short runtime) this is the go-to version for now, unless on the off chance, Disney release some decent deleted scenes somwhere down the line.

Thank you for taking the time to salvage what you could from this film even if it leaves the final product a little underwhelming, I'll take underwhelming as a vast improvement over festering overlong unfunny turd pile

SO this was my 3rd time seeing the movie, but it had to be this edit.
I wondered "what is left after all the comedy stuff". in the end its enough to make a good watch.
We had fun seeing the movie, and most of it flows perfect and the cuts are well done (and most of them well deserved).
A little hasty in the Townfight and i would have loved to see more of Jane in Flshbacks but the idea that we all see MIghty Thor at the same time for the first time with Thor makes it extra special.
After all i have to say that this cut still leaves me thinking why there is so much overdrawn comedy in it.

It will be my last time seeing this movie but i am glad that it was this stripped edit.
Well done !
