A viking god, a stand-up comic
What in common could there be?
If answer "nothing" you did,
You are smarter than Waititi.

Hammers, axes, goats, and gods
Have hearts to fall in love.
If 3 of those 4 sound silly to you,
You'll be happy to lose the above.

An edit of story, a change of tone,
This film needed much more focus.
Was it possible to make lead into gold
Or had Taika finally broke us?

Cuts galore! Chop! Chop! Chop!
This now runs mercifully short.
Farce, schtick, and mockery are gone
It's a film of a different sort.

The music was grand, the effects superb,
Though the drama is lacking here.
With acting and plotting so muddled
I never came close to shedding a tear.

The Guardians are gone, Avengers are dead
Can Thor ever just be Thor?
Now with tattoos, daughter and pet goats
The answer is "no", he's a bore.

Thor 5: Adventures in Portlandia
Is still where this franchise will head.
No edit can reform Marvel's story
Which will probably end up with him dead.

But casual fans will here enjoy, though those hardcore will still find fault
There are limits to what can be amended in this excellent effort by Tremault!

I enjoyed this edit quite a bit.
When this movie came out I was expecting Thor Ragnarok Part 2, well it wasn't that at all, too many jokes and too much comedy crammed into it. This edit cuts just enough humor and and keeps just enough humor as well. Thor is the Thor we all know and love, not the buffoon he is portrayed in Love and Thunder.

SO this was my 3rd time seeing the movie, but it had to be this edit.
I wondered "what is left after all the comedy stuff". in the end its enough to make a good watch.
We had fun seeing the movie, and most of it flows perfect and the cuts are well done (and most of them well deserved).
A little hasty in the Townfight and i would have loved to see more of Jane in Flshbacks but the idea that we all see MIghty Thor at the same time for the first time with Thor makes it extra special.
After all i have to say that this cut still leaves me thinking why there is so much overdrawn comedy in it.

It will be my last time seeing this movie but i am glad that it was this stripped edit.
Well done !

I know I'm in the minority, but I actually really enjoyed Love & Thunder when I saw it in theaters. I didn't find the comedy too grating (except the goats), I was just engrossed by Thor & Jane's story together. Honestly, at the time I preferred it over Ragnarok by virtue of feeling like a sequel to the other Thor movies & not a reboot. Plus, I genuinely prefer the Marvel movies that lean into more bizarre comedy (Thor movies, GotG, Ant-Man & The Wasp). Still, I was interested in an alternate take on this film, especially since it was under 90 minutes, and the result was interesting to say the least.

I will say, there were a lot of noticeable cuts that blared out to me as being edited. The ones that stood out in particular were the double echo of Star Lord saying "we need your help to win this battle" at the beginning, Thor getting light-headed seeing Jane again, Axl's first time contacting with Thor, an Asgardian saying the "this is all our fault" non-sequitur at 23:00, a lot of Omnipotence City, the list goes on. I'm worried the baby got thrown out with the bath water in trying to minimize the comedy, because I don't like how Jane is just there at the beginning, Jane & Val's relationship feels very rushed. Val goes from wanting to die in battle & joining her fallen sisters to sitting the final fight out, & Zeus just comes across as baffling, flip-flopping between giving Thor advice & wanting him dead.

The only thing that remains consistent is Thor & Jane's relationship. I prefer Thor's intro in this version, putting his journey through a more somber light, but I still think Jan'e story is hurt by cutting out the earlier scenes of her dealing with cancer (I actually wonder if there's a way to have Gorr & Jane's introductions play out in parallel before the credits). Still, one good thing I can say about the cuts is that by having Thor be dead serious about returning with the kids, I can actually picture this Thor being a dad at the end of the movie...which made it that more disappointing that the entire ending was cut out. I know a lot of that ending was baked into Korg's narration, but that's still gutting the emotional button of the entire film.

Anyway, I still recommend this version as an alternate way to watch the movie, & there were a lot of good elements, but this edit was just not for me. Then again, maybe I'll change my mind when I decide to rewatch the theatrical cut.

First of all, this edit has a very creative name and cover, it is especially in sync with the overall theme of the movie after this edit. I loved the new intro, loved the adding of November Rain in the Zeus scene, it especially fits to the Welcome to the Jungle intro. Loved the removal of the talking Korg face. To make it short, every change made by tremault made this movie better! That also includes the ending as well as the outro song.
Incredible respect for the amount of work, the creativity and the willingness go to any length in order to make a scene work, the way that tremault wants it to, which totally meets my personal taste! The pacing of the story/movie is great, the music choices and only the most fitting jokes stayed alive, which leaves a really good and balanced movie underneath it all, brought into the light for the first time.
Thanks again tremault and please continue to make movies better, like this. What a tremendous talent you have!
