This is my first edit of TPM I've seen, so I hesitate to say anything too definite, especially as I've seen the original so many times. I greatly enjoyed having less of Jar Jar, and thought removing the whole sequence with him worked surprisingly well once I got over my surprise at it not being there. I actually missed Anakin's annoying moments, but that is my own preference. Sometimes pacing of the cuts felt a little weird, but frankly no weirder than the original in some places, and obviously vastly improved in the majority on pacing. Greatly enjoyed the experience.

First edit of TPM i'v seen, and I think it'll be the last. You've done amazing work overhall here.

TPM can't and will never be a great movie, but you have turn a badly structured/written movie into a pretty fun watch.
Anakin is largely less annoying, the writing less corny, the story more concise, the subtles changes are quite perfect to build a more heroic, jedi-like character and a fun movie at the same time.

On the technical side, nothing bad to say, stunning work. Did not notice the cuts. Visuals and sounds are top quality.

My only complaint is regarding the pace and continuity of the movie at a specific moment. Although i'm the first to enjoy less Jar-Jar, cutting everything from his apparition to the arrival at Naboo Palace makes his presence in the rest of the aventure harder to understand. Why is he here all the time, following them if they just run into each other and that's all ? Pace wise, the jump from the forest to the place is a bit abrupt also....
Still can't really be mad, Jar-Jar is a detail compared to all the improvements you've made.

Now i'm happy to say, I find this TPM enjoyable to watch and that's not a small compliment.

Thanks for the hard work (and the french subtitles, greatly appreciated).

My first time seeing this, along with the other prequels, since the first viewing in theatres. Somehow it seems like the same movie (major plot points and characters are intact) while nevertheless feeling vastly improved in terms of tone, story and characterization. Hal9000 is a master and has utterly redeemed this trilogy, while keeping his handiwork nearly invisible. A difficult balance, but it looks effortless.

It's a Hal 9000 edit, so you know the editing is going to be top-notch! I would absolutely recommend his edits to any Star Wars fan out there.
That being said:
9/10 for audio/visual quality since the integrated deleted scene stands out like a sore thumb despite benefitting the narrative overall.
10s for visual and audio editing. These edits have been nitpicked to death in the forums, so at this point, I assume any "editing" issues are part of the theatrical cut.
The Narrative gets a 9/10 despite the many ways in which it improves on the original. It loses a point for Jar Jar's presence being even less justified now that Gungan City is cut. Like any reasonable human, I despise the Jar Jar moments in TPM, but now viewers have less emotional investment with the Gungans when they inevitably join the story in act 3.
Finally, Enjoyment. The reality is that there is no saving this movie. I give it a 6/10 because I could barely get through it. When I told my wife that 23 minutes of the film's worst content was already cut from this edit, she was shocked. Qui-Gon, podracing, and Darth Maul are the only reasons I ever return to this movie.

The pacing at the start was a bit weird. but I didn't miss any of the underwater scenes or Jar Jar's antics. Definitely an improvement over the theatrical cut.
