Dr. Strange has excellent visuals but felt it was bogged down by some of the stale Marvel-type jokes that were forced, and some overlong sequences. Also, the prolouge seemed too much too soon after my first rewatch, and Bobson comes out of the gate by removing that copletely, with barely anythign lost. Now, we learn the mystics arts with Dr. Strange, and are amazed alongside him, giving us a better connection to him.
Gones are also some of the forced jokes, such as the one on Wifi. Bobson replaces that with a scene helping to show that time has gone by during Steven's studying, which before seemed like he learned the magic over a couple days instead of much longer.
Finally, the alternate ending makes the movie self-contained, and makes Mondo's possible turn more subtle.
Overall, I enjoyed this cut of the movie more, with its brighter colors and seamless edits. It makes it ready for a rewatch before the second Dr. Strange (which now has been pushed back to 2022, which means I will for sure come back to this fanedit as my go-to version).

Making a great movie better is no easy feat, but Bobson somehow keeps doing that.
I loved the Theatrical Cut for Doctor Strange, and was quite skeptical when I heard about the purpose of this fanedit. I actually liked those "Marvel-type jokes" and think that they add levity and humor. They definitely did not bother me in the TC, but I have watched enough of Bobson's edits to know that they deliver.
Long story short - wow. Those innocent trims changed the pacing of the film and greatly improved it. Even the removal of the (visually stunning) original opening scene turned out to only improve the narrative. Who would have thunk... :)
Highly recommended.

I love this version of Doctor Strange. Gone is the weird, overly long "humor" scenes that only serve to pull you out of the mystic world of Doctor Strange. The removal of the battle in the opening of the movie serves the narrative well, allowing us to be skeptical and then quickly mystified alongside Stephen. It makes "that" scene where he is first exposed all the more powerful! I did not notice any issues with the video or audio, the editing is clean and the cuts are smartly done so they do not pull you out of the movie. Long story short, this is a great way to experience the world of Strange.

There didn't seem to be too many cuts or changes from what I remember, but the movie is so much more enjoyable. Cut the dumb jokes, but it is still lighthearted like all the other marvel movies. It is way better than the original!

I really got to thank Bobson Dugnutt for this edit! For me, Doctor Strange was one of those MCU films that, although it did not suffer from an overabudance of the usual Marvel humor, many of its jokes fell flat on their face, especially the repeating Beyonce joke and the magic-carpet-like antics of the Cloak of Levitation. Bobson Dugnutt cuts and trims all those annoying moments perfectly, seamlessly, resulting in a much better experience than the theatrical version. For example, trimming off the Cloak's comedic moments and watching it afterwards strangling that poor zealot, banging him on the floor and walls, came off as a much more fearsome spectacle than in the original film. And I can assure anyone who's interested that as a whole, Doctor Strange: Dark Dimensions is full of moments of such brilliance, like the Beyonce song replacement with a fitting song or the trimming of the Google Translate joke with that Edgar Wright-esc (as Bobson himself puts it) transition. My only complaint, if there's any, is the missing prologue with Kaecilius and his zealots. I truly understand where that's coming from and what the editor was trying to achieve, but it's just me wanting more of Mads Mikkelsen in the film! Nothing else to say, that's my canon version of the film from now on!
