The color correction is the best thing about this edit, and it makes it stand out from the others. I feel like the biggest problems with MCU movies are their color grading and their comedic breaks. I feel like the only films that improve on those problems are Infinity War, Endgame, and Eternals. With Bobson's edit, Dr. Strange is added to that. If what he did to this edit is done to MoM I think that film would also improve greatly. The only place with room for improvement is before and after the scene with Strange stealing the books. It just seemed too quick with the music cues.

NOTE: I have two parts to my fanedit reviews: "Technical" for the quality of the editing (entirely, or nearly entirely, within the Editor's control, and "Narrative Enjoyment" for how much I liked the movie (the Editor only has partial control....you can only polish a turd so far).

Technical:
Perfection. I could not tell that this was not a theatrically-released cut of the film. Not a single jarring cut, or scene out of place, or confusing moment. Video and audio quality were excellent. You wouldn't know the film had been fan-editted if you weren't told.

Narrative Enjoyment:
Very Good. Bobson's edit has definitely improved the movie. He took it from a 6 or 7 to a 9 for me. I felt like I missed nothing compared to the original, and I felt like the introduction to magic and the Ancient One was more compelling than with the original edit of the film that included the prologue. And it's been many years since I've seen a movie that I thought wouldn't be better off by being trimmed by at least a few minutes, so the slightly shorter runtime is also appreciated. In spite of Bobson's efforts, Doctor Strange still isn't one of my favorite Marvel movies though, but it does serve it's function of introducing Doctor Strange quite well. I think part of the problem is that I don't find Stephen Strange very likable, even by the end, and also the movie really makes me want a sequel movie where he's in his full powers and is wearing the mantle of Sorceror Supreme. Soon.

I can make this really short: this edit makes the theatrical movie far more enjoyable, for me (didnĀ“t liked it very much originally because of the jokes and it was somehow irrelevant to me).
Bobson did ja great job technical and narrative wise.

It was good. Enjoyable. The lack of the Marvel-y humor and such did make the film much more robust an experience, and it allowed the narrative to expose its solidity.
Some issues don't quite work very well, sadly. The altered Strange stealing books from Wong scene doesn't work very well, I'd say. I think it'd have been better to not use music at all, but I'd understand if it weren't possible to do that. Also, the editing truly is not as smooth; the rhythms of the film suffer a bit as it becomes noticeable when something that should be there just isn't. Scars from the surgery, I'd put it.
Still, it was enjoyable and is much more serious and grounded than the original.

I watched a near-finished preview of this edit just over a month ago, here's my review copy/pasted from the thread:
Watched this morning...
"Crazy how cutting only a few minutes here have completely fixed the tonal and pacing issues of the film. Obviously there's more to it than that - you used some clever editing (both visually and aurally) to change the flow of many moments, and even after scrolling through your cutlist I never once actively thought "oh - that was edited". The colour grade is also amazing - makes the film look good even on my shitty second monitor.
...
I enjoyed this film more than I ever have before - not to mention that new ending! Great work, can't wait to see more from you soon!"

In addition to this review, I also mentioned a couple places with room for improvement, both of which Dugnutt addressed promptly, and excellently. The final version of this edit remains my go-to, and is a must-watch for anyone who is a fan of the original (or, alternatively, who wasn't fond of the original because of the out-of-place humour and other stuff this edit successfully attempted to fix.)
