The All Super, No Hero Edition adds back 10 new, extended and alternate scenes, extending Wade Wilson's typical origin story by 5 minutes.

Intention:
There was a few really good deleted scenes on the Blu-Ray, and while maven48 had a really good cut of the film, it wasn't exactly my cup of tea, so I sought to extend the film to as long as I could.

Editing Details:
FREEWAY
I had to be careful to cut around the unfinished Colossus VFX, as much of it wasn't done. There is a shot or two that I had to use power windows to get his colour right, but there's still missing bits I couldn't add in
LEAVING
The gag of Wade being hit by a truck didn't have finished VFX, as the truck wiped away the shot to have a blank plate, where previously there was someone on the other side of the road. I had to create a new plate and add a layer of rain to sell that the guy was still there across the road.
CANCER WORLD TOUR
This whole sequence simply replaced the scene of Wade leaving Vanessa quietly in the night
MONTAGE
There's an alternate take from the gag reel of Ryan Reynolds fumbling more when taking off his mask, so I just swapped it out simply beacsue I enjoyed the take more. This transitions into a longer version of the montage that is supposed to last 5 years, and not just one. It's a little more bloody and all that and fun too. There's some work I had to do to paint out some tracking markers on DP's mask that were visable for a shot or two, see if you can spot them.
BATHROOM
This new alternate scene replaced the original as this new one has Wade interacting with a bathroom attendant.
WORTH IT
A new beat with Vanessa shooting Francis has been inserted into the reunion which made things hard as it was an alternate take, with not enough footage to quite make it work. I ended up cutting away to a shot of Colossus that went otherwise unused and then rotoscoped him into the scene walking past
CODA
The second half of the scene now has DP grab the boom mic from out of shot, also rambling off some new potential castings for Cable. I also had to composite in DP sticking his head out and doing the "chicka-chicka" as he didn't do it in this alt version.

This edit was mostly incredibly solid! Here are some thoughts on the changes.
The retouching on Colossus was excellent. I didn’t even notice it the first time around and had to pull up a YT video to see the difference. Now that I’m aware of it, there’s a sort of little cloud around him.. but idk that it’s even worth mentioning bc it took knowing the secrets to be scrutinized.
Audio during surgery in Guadelara (~37:03) has some white noise and then while Wade is fighting the “surgeon” there’s a noticeable audio cut at 38:02. Overall the Guadalajara scene felt really out of place, not just narratively but tonally. I understand why it was removed from the original and feel it should be removed from this edit as well.
The transition from world tour to Wade hitting the car at the bridge was excellent! The added jokes were edited in imperceptibly as well.
Workshop fight was seamless! No change noted whatsoever

Unfortunately the end credits scene left the experience off on a low note! The commentary kicked in out of nowhere and for a sec it felt like ADR from not-Ryan Reynolds.. I would cut the microphone credits scene out, personally.

Just perfect, all of the cuts feel naturally, and since I wasn't aware of most of the deleted scenes, I really had that feeling of rediscovering the movie. Thanks for the edit, it's a 10/10 for me.

As for all other extended edits of Bobson, this is a continuation of his work = perfect, well almost.
But first things first: all the added scenes (except for one) fehlt perfectly integrated in the story and god, some of them are just hilarious (e.g. getting hit by the truck). I like the theatrical cut but this gave me more joy.
Now to the omnious "except for one": That´s at 01:02:22. It´s were the added deleted scene ends and we jump to wade being back at the bar after he´s getting hit by the truckd lying in a bag at the morgue. In between here is a rouge frame
from some other scene for the blink of an eye but it stared at me.
The only thing i´ve to "criticise" is the overall bitrate of the video (i like it near bluray quality), but this is a personal preference because i´m sensetive to image quality.
