Very well done edit. As someone who has only seen the movie twice before watching this, I could not tell anything was out of place which demonstrates wraiths skills at editing. I myself did not see the movie when it first came out and I saw the directors cut the first time without the narration. Imo the narration ruins the movie, but I'm glad I saw the narration version at least once to get a better understanding of what deckard was thinking. I'm glad it was this edit since everything about it is excellent and if you enjoy the narration throughout the film, you'll probably not find a better version than this. Thank you wraith.

Thanks so much for that.

Blade Runner is like bond, Ones fave is the one seen first...so no arguments here (but I saw the V.O. in theatres....so it's burnt into my mind)...

Thanks again.

Perfect, (IMHO). Wraith has put together every frame from the main versions of the film, which at last means it’s all in one place, add in Ford’s narration and the tweaks Wraith had to use to get “just the right speed & tone” in Ford’s voice, this edit must have been a true labour of love.

It's a seamless edit; even the work print scenes fit in perfectly and added to the full experience I've always craved.

Some fans don’t like the happy ending, I’m not one of them. I think the happy ending is essential now in order to pave the way for the 2nd film. The VO also adds to the possibility of a long life for Rachael and the fact that she was “special” is actually spoken by Deckard. With all these scenes in one place and easy to follow, the story between the 2 films makes much more sense. Thank you Wraith for giving me the definitive film I always wanted.

Thank you for the review and especially noticing the tortuous process of getting Ford's "pissed off" hurried delivery, to match...(my ears bled by the end)

I've been a fan of Blade Runner since I watched it in the cinema as a kid growing up in the U.S.
Since then I've watched it dozens and dozens of times - for me it is still one of the most pivotal sci-fi movies ever made.
However, I always been disappointed with the many re-releases of the original; Because without the voice-over VO (Director's Cut, Final Cut, etc) they just don't feel the same as what I originally experienced at the movies. ( I know many will disagree with me and ask how I could disagree with Ridley, but the voice-over is what I experienced first, and for me it will always be what I compare everything else to... and without the VO the movie just feels lacking ( just like a book or a play where the narrator has been taken out ).
And now, nearly 40 years later I finally have seen the version that has it all... every frame of Blade Runner goodness and every bit of VO ++
Hats off to you WRAITH and let me say personally "You've done a man's job, sir." !
Thank you for giving me the version of Blade Runner that I always dreamed would be made!

Thanks for the review. I should note, that not EVERY bit of VO has been put back...just a few choice lines that enhance the narrative and keeps the frequency of VO fairly regular. There were plenty more lines, but the remainder felt like padding nad some are SOOOOO badly delivered.

Glad you enjoyed it Sir!

With TM2YC's 'Penultimate cut' and now Wraith's 'Final Voiceover Restoration', we are being spoiled for 'Blade Runner' edits recently. I go back and forth as to whether I like the voiceover - for me, it ticks the old school noir box Fancher and Scott originally intended, but there's something to be said for letting the moody silences and incredible visuals to speak for themselves.

Regardless, Wraith ably succeeds in exactly what he intended to do - an edit of every available frame from the main versions of the film, with the addition of extra voiceover lines where needed. It's seamless, and the extra lines I noticed absolutely fit the flow of the film. I'm sure that more work went into this edit than meets the eye, down to changing the pitch and speed of Ford's occasionally lacklustre narration. We get the best of both worlds with an extended unicorn shot (I still haven't found the little extra Wraith dropped in there - I have to ask him about that), but it unfortunately means we get the happy ending too. Within the scope of this edit, it was an essential addition, but pardon me if I press pause when the elevator closes the next time I watch this.

And here's the thing - I will rewatch this. There are days when TM2YC's 'Penultimate Cut' will be my go-to, and days when only the voiceover will do. With Wraith's edit, I can finally have my cake and eat it.
