Big improvement over the original. Albeit, it's been years since I've seen the original, and I think I've only seen it once, but I didn't really like it that much. I appreciate the changing of the infamous "Martha" scene and the removal of the dirt tease, and other things. Using Inception music for Clark's funeral is an odd choice, but it actually works pretty well and the song sounds like the rest of the soundtrack. The biggest problems with this movie though, are impossible to fix, that being Doomsday and all the distracting Justice League teases. Enjoyed this much, much more than Man of Steel.

Partly a cut/paste of my JL review...

I just finished watching Wakeupkeo's edits of BvS, JL and most of MoS, and I'm coming away very impressed. I think the highest compliment you can give any edit is that it's the only version you will watch in the future, and that is definitely the case for these terrific versions of JL and BvS. I never really had any problems with the theatrical edits of MoS or WW, so I'll probably stick with the originals for those.

I enjoyed a lot of things about the original BvS, but it also had a few "c'mon man" moments that were either a bit too out of character or were just outright corny (Martha). This edit expertly removes the few things I hated and streamlines the rest of the movie to give it a much more engaging pace. I doubt you'll notice any rough cuts or transitions.

The only minor technical issue I had was with the sound. My receiver is reading the mix as Dolby Digital, but it seems to be encoded in stereo (no center, no surrounds). This could be specific to my setup, but I thought it was worth a mention, especially with my having no other criticisms whatsoever. Kudos on an excellent edit, and thank you for your work on it!!!

2/3rds of the way through the Dawn of Justice Trilogy. WakeUpKeo does it again. It continually amazes what a little restructuring and trimming does for the overall films in the DCEU.

The one and only complaint I have is the Martha scene. While WakeUpKeo completely understands the scene, and what is actually happening in that scene is that the dialogue when helping Superman up kinda is jarring. Nothing WakeUpKeo could have done about that without extra deleted scenes/dialogue. Despite the slightly jarring moment (Should Bruce know Clark secret, or that his moms name is Martha?) would have required just a few extra words in that scene. It's easy to handwave cause it's Bruce and he knows every thing. but I really wish the dialogue existed to fix here as WakeUpKeo did a masterful job in getting the entire scene structured in a way that gets the point across and leaves no room for interpretation about what is happening there.

Definitely recommend as this is superior to all versoins I've seen so far. WakeUpKeo does a masterful job changing this movie into the tent pole blockbuster it should have been.

"Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" was a film that divided audiences upon its initial release. While it had its fair share of strengths, there were some aspects that left fans disappointed. However, thanks to the dedicated work of fan editors, we now have the opportunity to experience an alternative take on the film. "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice - Part 2: The Consequences Edit" is a remarkable fan edit that successfully addresses many of the original film's shortcomings and creates a more cohesive and engaging viewing experience.

This fan edit, skillfully crafted by Wakeupkeo, takes a careful approach to restructuring the narrative, focusing on the consequences of the epic showdown between the Dark Knight and the Man of Steel. The editor seamlessly blends the original footage with new scenes and cleverly rearranges existing sequences to deliver a more streamlined and emotionally resonant story.

One of the standout improvements of this fan edit is the enhanced character development. The editor pays particular attention to Batman and Superman, providing additional depth to their motivations and inner conflicts. By trimming some of the extraneous subplots and extending pivotal moments, the fan edit allows viewers to truly empathize with the struggles and dilemmas faced by these iconic superheroes.

The pacing of the film has also been significantly improved. The editor judiciously trims down certain action sequences, ensuring that they serve the story rather than overshadow it. By tightening the overall runtime, the fan edit maintains a more focused narrative, preventing the film from feeling bloated or dragging in certain sections.

Additionally, the audio and visual editing work in this fan edit is commendable. The audio has been seamlessly reworked to create a more immersive and cohesive sound design. Furthermore, the fan editor has skillfully integrated visual effects to enhance certain scenes, making them more visually striking and consistent with the overall tone of the film.

While "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice - Part 2: The Consequences Edit" succeeds in addressing many of the flaws of the original film, it is worth noting that it may not entirely please everyone. Some die-hard fans of the original might feel that certain aspects have been omitted or altered too significantly. However, this is an inherent risk when it comes to fan edits, as they aim to offer a personalized vision.

In conclusion, "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice - Part 2: The Consequences Edit" is a compelling and well-executed fan edit that breathes new life into the divisive original film. It successfully refines the narrative, enhances character development, and improves the overall pacing. Fans who were dissatisfied with the theatrical release will find this fan edit to be a refreshing take on the story. It's a testament to the dedication and creativity of fan editors who strive to shape beloved films into more satisfying cinematic experiences.
