This is my first time writing a review about a fan-edit, so bear with me as I tackle the things I feel elevated The Untold Extended Edition when compared to the theatrical cut, and the things I feel could use some improvements/tweaking.

The majority of Masirimso17's additions to the narrative are excellent. The deleted scenes from The Amazing Spider-Man that were left on the cutting room floor in particular have been integrated with a lot of care and attention to detail. Those deleted scenes really give the movie the heart that I feel Marc Webb wanted for the theatrical cut. This is especially true for Dr. Connors who, through the addition of deleted scenes, becomes a character that is a lot more easy to empathize with (aside from the whole turning the citizens of Manhattan into lizard-people thing). That newfound empathy I had for the character made it all the more tragic when he gives in to his weaknesses and twists his dream into something truly monstrous.

Now, for the additions that I didn't like as much. The elephants in the room for me are the airplane scene and the Roosevelt Station subplot. In the theatrical cut of The Amazing Spiderman you piece together clues that you're given along the way in order to figure out what happened to Peter's parents. By the end of the movie you still have questions that you want answered, and that sense of intrigue is exciting! Outright showing the audience their fate in the beginning of the movie with the airplane crash takes away that sense of mystery and excitement. The payoff when Peter goes to Roosevelt Station and sees the message from his father IS important, but I think a more compelling way to reveal WHY Peter's parents had to leave would be to include the deleted graveyard scene (from TASM 2) with Richard Parker at the end of an Amazing Spider-Man 2 edit. The deleted graveyard scene answers the same question (why his parents left), but for me it has a lot more emotional impact and adds to the overall sense of mystery.

The only complaints I have on the technical side of things are nitpicks at best. There were a couple of music and scene transitions that were sort of noticeable for me, but they didn't detract from all the things I feel Masirimso17 absolutely nailed with this edit.

Despite my grievances and nitpicks, I feel like this is an AMAZING edit (get it, like the name of the movie?... I'll see myself out). The additional scenes have been woven into the movie incredibly well. I feel like the core of what makes Spider-Man special as a superhero are his relationships with the characters around him, and Masirimso17 has elevated those relationships significantly. If you already are a fan of The Amazing Spider-Man, or just Spider-Man in general, then I highly recommend giving this a watch.

Awesome!
I've always been a defender of this movie and this edit further reassures me how good of movie it is. The deleted scenes don't stick out so unless you're abit of an eagle eye or know the original very well it'll be hard to notice. And the addition of the Roosevelt subplot from the second movie really works better here as it feels more natural and stops the second film from feeling bloated. Some might find it abit annoying as Peters hair looks different from the ASM 2 scenes and doesn't necessarily fit with how he looks in ASM 1 but it never really bothered me, some people might not even notice either so..

Overall I'd say this is the definitive version of this movie to watch.
Well done sir!

Okay, so, here goes... Masirimso's done it. This cut of the Amazing Spider-Man should be labelled the definitive cut for all. The reasons for which people down this film have all been addressed and the inclusion of deleted scenes, the Roosevelt subplot from the sequel and cohesive editing makes this movie really cool. Spiderman fan or not, this version of the movie can be enjoyed by all.

And yes, thank you Masirimso for elevating the film and the experience!

This fan edit blew my mind!

The addition of Peter's parents Roosevelt storyline was an incredible choice that I wouldn't have thought would make the film way more enjoyable to watch.

The story's first act was really weak, Andrew's performance as Peter was, for me, sometimes cringe worthy with his over-confidence and cool guy persona that I believe doesn't fit the character of Peter Parker at all. The movie, however, does a drastic turn, after Uncle Ben's death.

The addition of a couple deleted scenes to develop Curt Connors's character more and the aforementioned parents scenes, like the plane and Roosevelt reveal at the end, made the movie more complete at the end. With a pretty well-developed villain with fully explained motivations, and this edit also manages to resolve all possible loose threads.

This fan edit was super fun to watch with a second and third act, incredible to watch as a spidey fan. Great action scenes, great romantic scenes with Peter and Gwen and a depressing but also hopeful ending just like the second one of the Amazing Spider-Man duology.

This was the first time, I believe, I truly loved and enjoyed the movie. It was so much fun! Thanks Masirim for making this! This my now definitive version of the film and can't wait to watch it again someday!

I loved this edit, the editor here has done something I’d have thought unimaginable, he’s made me love the Webb movies more than the Raimi movies, and it’s not for the memes.
I really didn’t notice any errors or different hair etc since I was so engrossed in the story. This will be my go to version from now on.
