I liked this version and think the changes improve upon the original. The edits were unnoticeable and the plot flowed better overall. I highly enjoyed and recommend this version.

The changes made to Valerian are seemless. I could not tell where the cuts were made and had to go back and watch the original to make a comparison. This beats the original cut easily. The weird romance and constant mentionings of marriage are gone which is great. That part of the film seemed so forced and awkward. My one issue was I felt a lttle confused when we learn he was possessed by the spirit of a dead alien in this cut.

Very happy to have found this edit, I didn't notice any of the cuts and found it more enjoyable to watch due to the faster pacing.
keep up the good work Malthus!

Valerian is a disappointing, bloated, but ambitious Luc Besson sci-fi film that I seemed to like more than most people. The two leads lacked in chemistry, but were fun in their individual roles. There's tons of crazy visuals and concepts, but the dead weight held it back.

This edit fixes all the problems I had with the film. This version of Valerian is a very enjoyable light adventures, feeling a lot like Besson's other famous sci-fi films, The Fifth Element. It's inventive, fast paced, and messy in the best ways. The subtly flirtatious relationship between the two leads works much better here.

This is a great edit, and definitely the best way to enjoy Valerian. I didn't notice any technical issues or obvious cuts. I highly recommend it!

I found the original movie to be an underwhelming disappointment. This is a definite improvement! It can't fix all the issues with the film, but does make for a rather more enjoyable experience. Aside from the music over the end credits being overly loud, the edit was technically flawless as far as I noticed. The ship's infodump about Alpha when they arrive still seems awkward and unnecessary, but that's not new to this edit. The remnant of the princess plot seems to come out of nowhere, and would have been better excised entirely, but one more bit of weirdness in a story like this isn't a big deal. I was very happy with the change to Bubbles' story. Recommended.

Thank you for the review. I'll take a look at the end credit's audio levels again. It was such a pity that there were no deleted scenes to use so all I could do here was subtract. I'm glad that my changes made for a more pleasing viewing experience nonetheless.
