loved how the movie was rearranged, definitely made the pacing better and inserted much needed deleted scenes seamlessly.

I really enjoyed the change in perspective this fanedit brought. I felt that this restructuring helped add more tension as the mystery surrounding Thor's backstory builds. Because they have been moved to the beginning of the movie, the scenes in New Mexico establishing Jane Foster and her team now feel less like a road block before the inevitable 3rd act showdown between brothers. I thought the deleted scenes were well integrated and being unfamiliar with them I doubt I could tell which did not make the theatrical release.

The only thing I did not enjoy was some fragmented story threads as the flashback segment caught up with final act. I understand the goal of the edit was to not introduce many fantastical elements before Jane witnessed the other Asgardians showing up in New Mexico, but because there is was not much material available for the editor to work with in the time between the Asgardian warriors reunion and the fight with the Destroyer it caused a bit of odd pacing. This may come down to personal preference, but I can't help but wonder if introducing the backstory segment after Thor and Jane's stargazing scene instead would help the day of the Destroyer fight flow more naturally, while retaining most of the benefits of Malthus' innovative timeline.

Overall great work!

This is undoubtedly the most enjoyable version of this movie I've ever seen. The restructured narrative works wonders to bring out the best in the characters and tone at the outset of the film to invest viewers in the story and the characters. The deleted scenes, especially those with Loki deserve their place and they have been restored beautifully. That said, the point where the narrative flashes back to cover the skipped first act struck me as jarring and the following scenes felt too much like the start of a film to work for me in their given place. The prologue about the Frost Giants narrated by Odin I feel needs cutting entirely or restoring to the front of the film for it to work. The warriors three and lady Sif showing up unexpectedly was also jarring, especially following an audible cut between it and the previous scene seconds earlier. It feels like you should already know them at this point. My suggestion would be moving the transition point back a scene to Thor's talk with Jane about his past and reuniting Thor with his friends as a bridge from their part of the story back to the present. But that's just me.

Overall a very enjoyable watch after which I could never return to the theatrical cut. So mission accomplished.

Great edit!
I liked the first thor movie when it came out. But the introduction to Asgard and all the god magic was a punch in the face,
This keeps it more of a mystery.
The editing is perfect and the narrative works well. It is hard to get perfect AV quality of course, but still great, and the enjoyment better than the original!
