Thor: Odinson? - Godsized Edition

This is my second edit to have watched from Mathus and again does a brilliant job. The restructuring of the narrative was seamlessly done and really enhances the story and makes us feel more relatable to the human characters like Jane and Eric (where they're sceptical of Thor) and in turn makes the reveal of Asgard feel so much more grander. The deleted scenes were implemented rather impressively and makes you question why the hell it was cut from the theatrical release. My overall viewing experience for this edit actually made me like Thor 1 more than before.

I enjoyed watching this edit overall, technical editing is superb. Sometimes the dialogue is too quiet.
As another reviewer mentioned: the narrative works but the placement of the flashback didn´t felt good.

Would´ve loved a higher quality regarding the encode, sometimes the video looks kind of washed out. Perhaps it´s the colour-grade and i´m wrong.

BUT, this is enjoyable and the best edit so far for this movie

What Malthus has done here is truly astonishing. Thor is a movie and a character I hold near and dear to my heart, and this edit greatly improves upon the original in every way possible.

The addition of deleted scenes here works flawlessly. If this was the first time I had watched Thor, I wouldn't have even noticed it.

Not to mention rarranging the Asgard scenes to the second half of the movie is genius. I don't know why the original filmmakers never had this idea. By simply moving it to later, you get not only a better Thor movie, but a grander introduction to Asgard (after watching New Mexico for the past 45-50 minutes), a better character arc for Thor, and the sympathy you gain for Loki stays up until the movie ends.

Of course, the original Thor is no perfect movie, but this edit pushes it to it full potential and then more. Most of my narrative issues with the movie are gone. Overall, this is fantastic. A true masterclass in edits.

Okay, I'm really - and I mean, REALLY - impressed. This is one of those edits that reminds you why fan edits exist and just how much a movie can be improved. How much this is better than the original cannot be overstated. It's now fun, engaging and interesting, whereas the original lost pretty much everyone at some point I think. 100% replaced the original in my BR case. Just phenomenal Malthus, congratulations.

PS: The only reason audio editing is not a 10 is because of the audio in the deleted scene between Thor and Loki before Thor's coronation - the music completely takes over the dialogue just as Loki tells Thor that he loves him, and I had to replay that part a couple of times before I actually understood what Loki said. Other than that, basically flawless.

Malthus has created a great fanedit! He has managed to fix a very mediocre film and has made it much more watchable, fun and unpredictable. His change of the order of acts is incredible and managed to keep me fully entertained until the end. The way he managed to improve the tone of the film and make us wonder whether or not Thor is a god or just crazy guy even though we all already knew the answer is really impressive and exceptionally done. I'd recommend this fanedit over the original film any day of the week and it's the way I'm gonna watch this film, whenever I wanna rewatch MC, from now on. It's still not the best movie in phase 1 of the MCU but it's vastly improved with much needed removed scenes and added deleted scenes. Thank you Malthus for creating one of the best MCU fanedits I've ever seen and I can't wait to see more of your content soon! Take care!
