A terrific improvement, the only thing I'd also have removed is the few frames of the batman silhouette standing on top of the suspention bridge at the end. (thumbs up)

This is an excellent edit. The editing, narrative and structure were all a solid improvement over yhe original, and it finally felt like Nolan's trilogy got the conclusion it deserved in the hands of njvc. Definitely very highly recommended!

I just finished the njvc Trilogy. Out of the three films in this saga "Rises" has been the disappointment, until now. A great fan edit will re-introduce you to a film you have seen numerous times over the years. njvc has remade "Rises" and in my opinion lifted it to it's rightful place in Batman lore. We now have a the final chapter that we deserved as fans.

This tighter cut of "Rises" speeds the pace of the film considerably. In my opinion this was one of two major flaws in the theatrical cut. The second problem was the bloated story. The political aspect of the film, the anti "Occupy Wall Street" story never fit in well and felt like it was added just to make a statement. Also, the late introduction of characters kinda gave away the big baddie reveal in the end. njvc solved both of those issues.

The happiest moment for me was the fix to the final Joseph Gordon-Levitt sequence. I actually stood up in my living room and cheered. Although the theatrical release reveal of Gordon-Levitt's character was fun I always felt they missed a great opportunity at a better reveal. I'm happy to see I wasn't the only one who thought of this. njvc brought my suspicion to life with cleaver editing and I applaud him for doing such a wonderful job at it.

This is now my go to version of the film in this trilogy.

I have been a vocal opponent of TDKR since I saw it in theaters. I was upset at the sense of slowdown in the story right from the beginning. Its a tough film to enjoy in some ways. This edit has addressed much of the problems with it and streamlined the story. There were a few noticeable audio issues, mostly in scenes cutting from one to the next, but I LOVED the addition of the score during Bane vs Batman fight. I also really enjoyed the ending of the film. Personally I would have liked to see more of the "clean slate" cut out, but it works well in this context. For now this will replace my original copy, I just wish some narrative and audio issues were addressed. You have some brilliant ideas here. Overall, very well done!

Thanks Wyndorfdave! Can you let me know where the audio issues are that you mentioned? I thought I had smoothed over the audio transitions, so this surprises me a little. Cheer for watching and reviewing.

I will keep this one short. The only thing that could have made this any better would be more shots of Catwoman straddling that motorcycle. Maybe in slow motion. Perhaps this is a personal thing.
This might be my favorite of the three, though I liked the first one a lot too.
It is hard to review a fanedit when nothing about it feels like it was re-edited by an "amateur" fan--this, as far as I am concerned IS the third Nolan Batman movie. I don't need the original anymore because compared to this, the original now feels like raw footage waiting to be edited in this way.
I almost want to use this space to beg njvc to edit Burton's 2nd Batman movie featuring that other hot Catwoman, and cut out as much Penguin as possible--as I have seen a poorly done edit that illustrated that a good movie lurks in there just waiting for someone of njvc's talent to bring it to light.
But this isn't the place for that. This is the place to say I highly recommend this whole re-edited trilogy.

Thanks anarchemist, I really appreciate the positive feedback and the effort you've taken to watch and review the three films. Great to hear that you enjoyed it so much. As for Batman Returns... Strangely, I like the grotesque penguin! But I certainly don't disagree that both Catwomen looked pretty smashing in their respective getups.
