I truly loved this edit. The ending is exactly how it should have been and this is what I imagined it should have been when I left the theater when i fist saw TLJ. Don't change it!!! LOL

i have no criticisms, but here are some improvements/suggestions if you ever are going to release a version 2, here are my 1 cents worth that would be cool.

1. At the 40th minute (40:20), it would be cool if the next scene cut to the "hall of mirrors" (around 53:50) and mute all her dialogue and let the scene continue until 55:56 and then you cut back to 40:22 where Luke says to her "you went straight to the dark"...this would parallel nicely with Lukes encounter with Vadar in episode 5 when he saw his own face in vadars mask. Rey saw her reflection in the the underground cave, suggestion a reflection of potential darkness....and luke says that she didn't even resist. For me the whole, my parent dialogue doesn't work in the cave but I guess it could be left in suggesting maybe she is willing to use the dark side to get her answers about who her parents are...kind of like "selling ones soul" to get answers. Either one would work.

2. If you follow point number 1, that cave scene has to be removed from 53:23. So basically keep the scene from 51:12 to 53:20 and then jump to 56:11 to make the scene more seamless.

3. Now this would be cool to pull off like Ivan Ortega. I like the idea of a training montage like Ivan did and I wonder if point 1 and 2 are edited in...then you would have to be creative with what remains ...but I think this movie really need that to make Rey training much more believable and powerful from my point of view:

Here is the montage that i like and you can get some idea to incorporate it into your cut. I mean using Reys light saber scene and the scen when she fights Luke. You can find it on Ivan YouTube channel

Rey Actually Trains! (Rey's Training Fixed!!! Part 02)

4. The scene where Luke give the saber back to Rey and Luke saying "I am sorry", is equally as effective as Ivan's version to (Luke Skywalker Doesn't Throw His Lightsaber Away! (FIX UPDATE))

5. 1:32:43...nothing major...but lea is in the wide shot if you look real hard..lol...no a deal breaker.

6. Overall theme, if it could be done...Show luke more as a fallen Jedi rather than "I am hear to die" on the island. Maybe that dialogue can be removed. But i guess your ending shows his redemption. Its a toss up for me.

Conclusion, outstanding Edit !!!!

Much better than the nonsensical haphazard original release. Very professional work, great looking and sounding edit.
Anti-Cringe yes but still not ruthless enough in culling the cringe eg. Superfluous Rose shots, Finn water gag and those awful fish nuns etc.
There is only so much one can do with such source material so only minor quibbles. The changes and cuts made in this edit were superbly well thought out.
Especially approved of Luke surviving, the reworking of Crait and removal of Canto Bight and many many more. Truly well done.

Would recommend.

As much as anyone else, I was disappointed deeply with Episode VIII to an extent to not care about it anymore.
But I gotta say, DonKamillo's Anti-Cringe Cut is really the spark that lights the fire that... Yes.

Is incredible how much room the movie has to breathe now, and the complete obliteration of the Canto Bight sequence and it's characters is so seamless as to demonstrate how unecessary the whole thing was. It's a much welcome trait now that the movie focus on Luke's downfall and the ways of the Force, finally doing justice to the title. And I gotta say, things get really interesting here, and it might even redeem the original writing for what it was trying to pull off. The Last Jedi and the "let the past die" carry some real weight now that the movie takes itself much more seriously. And I dare say Luke gets a complete character development arc this time around that he never had before in the OT. I got invested in a thought that was always there, in the back of my head, but is completely fleshed out now, that Luke has always been a "grey" Jedi. The dynamics of his emotional burden and his perspective on the "Jedi Religion" start to justify his fall from grace in a way that only the editing could pull off. The fact that he still remains by the end of the cut though, is what gives everything shown before a purpose, that he didn't just vanish after some smoke and mirrors and still has to overcome his failures for the sake of what is right. I never thought I could see it all like this before the Anti-Cringe Cut.

Aside from that newfound focus, that are so many details in there that make the movie so much tighter I probably didn't even notice because of how much I was enjoying it. What did stick out though, was how things started to move incredibly fast by the last act, and made it feel a little off. The Crait sequence, in particular, is somewhat jarring: they land, the First Order prepares the ramming cannon, they attack on those junk ships, they give up on attacking the cannon, the cannon never fires but the Resistance is back to being cornered. It also introduces Rose by the first time in whole run she even gets to keep some of her dialogue, but along with everything, it just feels pointless. Aside from that, I thought there was still some cringe left with porgs, caretakers, and specially, the out-of-fuel and "people sinking with their ships" plot (this one I just can't get over).

Technically, what I did notice was some dropped frames here and there, and the audio gets slightly out of sync by the last 30 minutes or so, I don't recall exactly with which track. It might be on my end, of course, but I thought it was worth mentioning.

All things considered, The Last Jedi Anti-Cringe Cut was a great watch, and really pulled me back to Star Wars fandom and anticipation for what's still to come. Thank you DonKamillo for your work and passion!

I really enjoyed this edit. Everything seemed to flow so much better and I wasn't squirming in my seat watching it. There were only a few minor editing parts where I felt like it was jumpy. I only noticed this twice.

The only cringe stuff that I was mildly bothered by was the porg in the Falcon at the very end. I felt those antics could have been removed or somehow toned down.

The other issue that bothers me in the movie, that still exists in this cut, is that fact they were tracked in light speed. I wish there was a way around this and it was more of a inside traitor/we are out of fuel situation. Or perhaps they had one more jump, and that was the suicide jump.
