Haven't had a laugh this good in years! A lot of the subtitles jokes fell flat but this is a niggling point.

We need more fanedits like this!

I recently realized that I had never left a proper review for this edit, even after seeing the footage so many times when Frink put out the edit originally. This was definitely something I needed to remedy, and I finally had some time this evening to give it another spin. After 5 years, I was curious to see how the gags would hold up. Nothing to fear there! Not only did they hold up, but this edit aged like fine wine. Well, maybe some halfway decent boxed wine. I forgot how many great gags were in this and I laughed out loud (loudly) at several points during the film. Some of the jokes are dated to pop-culture of 2011, but that somehow made them even more amusing (2016 could have used a lot more nyan cat).

Some of the audio editing is rough in spots, and while that is usually distracting or a deal breaker, it adds to the charm here. Some of the jokes will go over the viewers head, and others may overstay there welcome, but so many are ROFL-worthy.

I've really grown to loathe the prequels over the years. This is now the only way I intend on watching them moving forward. Thanks Frink!

Apparently, I've rated this before. Now there are two of them.

Thus begins the Ridiculous trilogy. Off to a nice start! I'm always happy when editors take and implement our suggestions. They don't have to, of course, but it's great when they're willing to listen, as many minds can make a superior product in some cases. I could've done without some of it, but then, it's not my edit. (not crazy about some of the repetition and internet culture stuff, seeing as I'm not a 12-year-old girl) There is also some stuff that I thought was brilliantly done, both straight from Frink's damaged brain and from contributors.

The audio and video are quite good for the most part. I thought some things could've been taken a step further (I would have really tried to do more with pitch changes, even if it didn't seeeeeem to work upon initial tries), but overall, with this type of edit, it's about as good as it can get.

Overall, a must see. It's sort of a 'love it or hate it' type of movie now (like Kung Pow, for instance), as opposed to the 'hate it' movie it was as-is, but I would definitely recommend that every Star Wars fan check this out. You may even begin to—*gasp*—LIKE The Phantom Menace! At least a bit...

Ever wanted to cry during Episode I and still be able to look at yourself in the mirror? Well the Ridiculous Menace gives you that chance.

There's not much else to say that hasn't already been said. This edit is hilarious. Also, as others have stated, it's kind of rough. But, for the most part, you can tell what joke is being made, and even though it might not sound right, you'll still get the joke, and you'll still laugh. And there really are some great jokes in there. And there are some that I don't get, but I don't really care. That didn't detract from my enjoyment, and I'm sure there are plenty of people who did get those jokes.

The biggest problem with the edit is the length. Two hours is too long for a comedy. Now, I've seen comedies that are two hours that I love. Those runtimes work, because those films have a story. And when I say story, I mean a good story. Ridiculous Menace has a story, but it's not a good one. So it takes a backseat. You don't care about it. The only problem is, honestly, it's still there, and it makes the film lag. As do some of the jokes, which go on for too long. I think this needed to be at least twenty minutes shorter.

Anyway, irregardless, this edit is great. TV's Frink did a hysterical job (in a good way). Show this to your friends.

I got to watch the entire edit online. I loved it. I often rewatch Episode I thinking I'm going to be less cynical this time and will remember how much I can enjoy TPM with an open heart and mind and I'm always disappointed. No 'more serious more dark' versions of the prequels have ever succeeded with me so an edit that does the exact opposite was a great idea. The experience was uplifting and fun.

I love the montage music, the funny overdubs, the cutaways, the satirical optical wipes, the extended conversations and overstretched moments, the motifs, pretty much everything. This edit was made for everyone on this site. There's no other group of people on the internet that know why "intentional creative decision" on the Naboo exterior is funny.

The editing can be considered terrible at times due to the transparency of the overdubs and video looping. But considering the intention, this edit should get perfect points for intricacy, vision, and humorous success. I didn't know how to rate the visual quality considering I watched it over the internet, but it had to get generous points for being so readily available.

That's all. I think it was wonderful and already love what's being done with Episode II. Thank you for sharing.
