This is one of my favorite fanedits of Episode I, and the main reason is the pacing. This thing just barrels along, with smart choices to the action to make it more lively and exciting. Of all the edits of Ep. I I've seen, this one feels the most like a "Star Wars" movie.

My favorite little edit is the way the Anakin/Greedo deleted scene is cleverly and seamlessly incorporated. A fantastic use of that sequence.

My only complaint would be that the speed sometimes feels a little too break neck. Tatooine especially suffers from this, as I feel like a little more time taken here would help us get to know the characters. But if the material wasn't there, I'd rather it went by quickly like this anyway.

There were a couple of slightly odd Audio cuts and transitions. Nothing was particularly wrong with the cut, but it would sometimes very clearly start or end a piece of music at a point that wasn't the natural conclusion. No biggie, especially since Star Wars movies are so difficult to edit sound wise.

Overall a fantastic edit that's well worth your time!

My first review :) a star wars movie has to be at least 90 minutes in my opinion considering the lengths of the originals but I will say that this edit totally made the unwatchable watchable to me. And not just watchable but enjoyable and even awesome!! Also the DVD slipcase for the non revisited edition is cooler so hopefully I can download a high quality copy of this earlier one someday.

After reading about all the Star Wars fanedits and ended up downloading this and L8wrter's editions, his are great too but I like how Seciors stays true to the originals without the fancy logos and menus and focuses more on the film and the story which is what I want to see (as a former Star Wars kid!). Can't stress enough how I feel these versions are the versions that should have been released in the theater!
Now I'm about to review the Army of the Republic too

Thanks Seciors for this unbelievable edit. I know its hard to save these prequels but you did an excellent job. I know have a new Episode 1 for my collection and the old one deleted. Keep up the good work. A++++

I am absolutely blown away with this edit. The Phantom Menace sucked, and Seciors has improved it so much that I finally enjoyed it. Everything was great, especially how he deleted the whole Gungan city sequence. I am surprised how it worked, even though Jar Jar is with the Jedi for no reason, it still worked. I highly recommend this edit, as it's my go-to edit of Episode I.

Masterful. Absolutely masterful. Seciors has made some deep cuts to this movie (which is exactly what TPM needed) and has pulled it off seamlessly. The Phantom Menace is finally a fun, engaging, and dare I say exciting movie. This is the movie we all wanted back in 1999, and seciors has delivered the perfect introduction to the following two prequels. I recommend Q2's Episode II and L8wrtr's Episode III, btw. Q2 and seciors don't allude to the fact that Palpatine is Darth Sidious whatsoever (spoiler alert?). In fact, that's what I like about Q2 and seciors; they don't spell everything out for you and insult your intelligence. Thus, it is in L8wrtr's Episode III, beginning with the opera scene, that you begin to feel a sense of dread as you start to realize what's really going on. These three edits together succeed in keeping the viewer in the dark for as long as the main protagonists are (although it's hard to say whether we really would have been fooled since we've all seen these movies before). Together, seciors, Q2, and L8wrtr have rescued the PT by cutting out the bloat and adding some much needed subtlety and nuance to these films. However, seciors has demonstrated exceptional skill in ascertaining when less is undoubtedly more. Bravo.
