This is very much a "Kitchen Sink" edit where everything deleted was indiscriminately re-inserted with no regards as to how it impacts the story. For example, the deleted scene which explains how Knives and Scott met, when re-inserted, kills the joke that Knives sounds like a made up person by revealing her too early. Whist there are a number of cut jokes that should have stayed in, I feel this edit doesn't know when to stop. If you wanted an uncut version, here it is, COMPLETELY UNCUT. But if you've never see the movie before, I'd recommend you just watch the original as it's much better paced and its jokes are more consistant.

If you want everything, this is the edit for you! The nega scott scenes and Crash and the boys extended scenes were the only things I really liked. The other additions were nice to see but the uneven audio levels were jarring and as a whole I don't believe they added to the story. The animated opening was cool but it doesn't align with what he tells Ramona at the bar. I was really hoping Knives emoji face was gonna be fixed lol

Being a big fan of the original movie, it was really cool to see all of these new parts integrated into the film. Not all of them were improvements, though. Many of the deleted scenes were deleted for a reason, and while I wouldn't normally criticise an extended edition for this, since parts of the film were editorialised according to the editor's tastes I think it's fair to treat it like an ordinary edit.
As for the deleted scenes themselves, it's clear that effort was put in to make them fit with the rest of the movie, but many of them were still VERY rough. A lot of them had quieter audio than the rest of the movie, meaning that I had to keep turning the volume up and down to hear the dialogue, and some of them clearly didn't fit visually or match the timing of the scene.
In a movie where the editing is so important, this was very noticeable and impacted the experience a lot.
Some deleted scenes were very well inserted to the point where I wouldn't know they were deleted if I wasn't so familiar with the movie, but compared to the total number of edits, a pretty large percentage of them are what I would consider "bad".
If you know the movie well, and want to see the new content, you'll definitely get a kick out of this, but I wouldn't recommend it to first time viewers and I don't think I'll be coming back to this version.

Enjoyed this edit a lot. I hadn't seen this movie in a while so I don't remember everything that was cut, but I didn't feel like I was missing anything. The cartoon intro was well integrated, and the small added scenes throughout the movie were mostly perfectly added in. There were a few moments that some audio transitions seemed too quick, but these were super minor. This edit feels like it changed very little, and just added slightly more to a great movie, exactly what I would have wanted. Perfectly done!

Scott Pilgrim Vs the Editor is a wonderful edit. I hadn't seen the movie in quite a while before watching this edit, so I didn't specifically notice many of the edits, which is probably a good thing. That said, most of the deleted scenes are of noticeably lower quality than the rest of the movie, which was a bummer, but in terms of visual/audio timing they were edited in so seamlessly that it wasn't a big deal. The only added scene which I would have personally left out was the 'advanced american slut technology' line. I love the line a lot but it has far and away the roughest transition, it's clear from a mile away that it was pasted in the middle of an existing scene. None of these problems really matter though, as there is obviously limited footage to work with and there's only so much that can be done.

Going through the movie I was enjoying myself a lot, but I wasn't sure if enough was added to truly justify watching this edit as opposed to the convenience of watching it on netflix. After taking a closer look at the changelist after viewing, I was pretty surprised at how much stuff I thought was in the original, but was actually added in here. I'll have to rewatch the original soon to properly to get a fuller comparison, but for now i'll say that there's just enough here that I would choose it over the original. All the right scenes have been fleshed out to enhance the emotional core of the movie greatly.

I wasn't a fan of the animation at the start, only because it has absolutely no bearing on the plot, and it isn't really all that good on its own (wouldn't have made me think it should have played before the movie anyway). It's far from a dealbreaker though.

Overall, this is a fantastic edit. Normally I don't bother with extended edition edits, because the effort of downloading and managing a bunch of edits on my computer is a lot of work compared to just putting in a bluray, and normally it's just for a few minutes of extra (debatably beneficial) footage. But this movie is a special case where a lot of the best stuff got left on the cutting room floor, and the reintegration of them results in an edit that's surprisingly better than the sum of it's additions. Excellent job, RoccondilRinon.
