What a fun and exciting watch! Looking at your change list the few changes you made to the narrative were exactly right. They fit the story so well that I didn't remember they were cuts until I checked! I only watched it on Track 1 but I'm gonna rewatch it on Track 3 for the cool Nintendo music and Bonnie Tyler. Also your Kranky work was awesome haha

Plus my kids absolutely loved it, they were glued to the screen, and my wife was really hyped every time she recognized any of the music or video game reference, so thanks for helping make our Sunday Movie Night special :)

Amazing edit. I'm sitting here trying to think of quibbles - no matter how minor - and am coming up short. I almost took a star off audio quality because I had to raise the volume on our TV to 50 in order to hear everything, but that's on me - I had my video player set at 40% audio output. Literally every single editing choice worked for me. The one 80's track I might want back was I Need a Hero, but DonkeyKonga thought of that and gave 5 audio options to pick from. For that generous decision, I would've given 11 stars for audio editing if it were an option!

I used audio track 1 and it fixed literally everything that I found irritating in the official release. The dog callback worked even better for me because it was strictly between the dog and Luigi. Deciding to redub a character is ambitious, but DonkeyKonga did it well AND avoided any obvious wrong mouth movements AND ad libed a line that added to the scene. Just incredible stuff and another example of the thoughtfulness and care that went into this edit.

I appreciate multiple audio versions. Especially keeping holding out for a hero. I do wish the music was a little more in the forefront, it's somewhat understated.

I'm not sure removing the dog scene was for the best. That they messed up the pipes makes them out as bad plumbers,

I didn't care much for for the redub, but I also didn't care for the original. So it's neither here nore there for me

I loved the removal of the line about her doing the course her first time.
The scene played out so naturally. It still implied she did it faster than him. But that she still had to try. this change alone improves the film alot.

I do recommend this cut of the film

Cheers my friend!

Yes, it seems Hollywood has completely forgotten that a character that has to grow to become strong is a stronger character than a character who was always good at everything anyway.

It's the 'woke' way of writing a female heroin. Luckily it was easy to fix and turn Peach into an actually powerful woman.

I have nothing bad to say about the edit. I watched the version with the donkey kong song in rather than the official score as I personally thought it fit better, but I love that DonkeyKonga gave multiple versions to please everyone. There are a couple minor changes like removing most of the dog from the beginning and a tiny line from Peach, but the vast majority of the movie is untouched, so if you are looking for a pure experience with nothing changed except the songs this will have some slight differences. I could go either way personally. I was surprised by how much I liked the original movie and now I have the perfect version. Thanks for making this edit!

I couldn't even tell that this movie was edited. There were no bad cuts, no dodgy audio and nothing felt out of place.
The new voice acting is something I don't think has ever been done for a fanedit before and it's done incredibly well. It's a much better fit for the character design and the lip-synching is more or less perfect which is quite a challenge when you're trying to match the voice to the animation and not the other way around.
There were a couple of points where I think Cranky's voice should have been mixed a little louder, but I don't know enough about audio mixing to elaborate on that. To be honest, I was looking for problems with the performance and that's the best I could come up with.

There's not much to say about this edit because there's not much that could be changed. 10/10 absolute recommend.

Thanks so much for the kind words! It's great to hear that you liked the performance so much! Youre 100% correct on matching the animation. It was a labour of love and matching the animation is a pain because ideally you'd use your own timing instead of having to perfectly match someone else's. It's like learning to sing along to a song that has no rhythm to it lol.
