Godfather: Don Vito's Opus, The

it feels like watching the godfather for the first time ever. my dad and brothers loved every minute of it.

Unbelievably excellent! I'm a loss for words... I can't explain this version eloquently enough, This edit, combining parts one and two, is just.... I find it to be so much better than the first two movies which were already incredible. This is the way it should have been done in the first place.

As someone who grew up on The Godfather, I had a blast watching this version. Wraith has done an excellent job reworking the infamous Godfather Saga into a modern standard of quality. This version of the narrative is well paced, even with the additional deleted scenes. When watching a three hour movie, its understandable to want to cut some of the extra fluff but this edit does a fantastic job at working those scenes back in. If you're a fan of the movies already, I think there's a lot you can gain by watching this version. The extra scenes add a lot of context to the story if you're interested. It's cohesive, well structured, and I especially appreciate the additional subtitles and title cards sprinkled throughout. If I had to give any criticisms, I would personally prefer slower transitions between scenes during the first act. However, this is more of a minor nitpick for me since I like the slow pacing of the movies, especially in the first Godfather movie. Some scenes transitioned a little too quick for my taste but its nothing that I would say takes you out of the movie or anything. Overall, I would highly recommend fans of The Godfather series give this a watch. I am very hyped to watch the next entry.
