Godfather: Don Vito's Opus, The

After seeing The Godfather Epic and The Godfather saga on television as well as a few restorations of these in the past, this is by far the definitive version to watch. Wraith went above and beyond on this project and the attention to detail is staggering! This is truly a magnum opus and if you enjoyed The Godfather saga/epic and the multiple restoration projects that followed over the years, this vastly improves upon them with multiple additions and fixes as well and should not be missed! Thank you for the extensive work on this project Wraith!!!

Somewhere it has been said, this release should be official and Mr. Coppola should notice it. I am sure, we can all agree on this, who have seen Wraith's release of this magnificent opus. Have watched all the 3 new releases ( Don Vito's Opus, Michael's Opus, La FIne) and have to say, the quality, the editing and the polishing of audio and video is just exceptional. Having watched the whole show almost at once, (well within 2 days) even if this is the longest cut of Godfather, I still have the feeling, some scenes should be more detailed in terms of storytelling. (At least I could watch it for another 10 hours.) Obviously, this is nothing to do with Wraith and this release. In overall, I can only say, this is the best version of a cronological cut of The Godfather.

Excellent editing and arrangement by Wraith. By far the best version of the Godfather series I have ever seen. Top notch chronology, editing and quality. Also the only version of the Godfather I've seen that is just as good as the book. Don't get me wrong, I cherish the original theatrical releases by FFC but the book is more detailed and enjoyable than those. This version by Wraith rivals the book.

Highly recommended. A must-watch for any Godfather fan.

Read the book for the first time this month, I was struck that this was the story of two Godfathers, not one. I so love this project by Wraith. He is taken a story of three movies and made it the story of two Godfathers. We get to see two (anti)hero's journeys with more focus and clarity than the original movies. I love the original movies and this project only helps me appreciate these movies in a different way: one man's rise and fall...followed by a sequel of one man's fall and redemption.
