Brief Synopsis:
Bad Movies Made Less Bad Presents:
Lessons Learned the Hard Way.
Intention:
I watched The Flash in theaters with high hopes. And in the end, I didn't have any major problem with characters, just the terrible GGI and the fact that Barry didn't actually learn the lesson in the end. I've been slowly carving into this stone block for a while now, but I felt any editing that I did was mostly superficial and down to a matter of taste unless the elephant in the room was addressed IMO - the fact that Barry still tries to fix the past by moving the tomatoes. I have finally found a way to remedy that.

I was able to remove the arrival of the flash drive package in the beginning of the movie and have Barry just be in an overall hopeless place, ruminating that he is still unable to save his father, even after now working in forensics as he hoped. And if we change the text on the note from Bruce, we can surprise Barry at home when he comes back to the future, for a proper happy ending.

An incredible edit of The Flash! Very seamless, and the tone was very consistent and had a much better balance between humor beats and serious notes, the narrative was much more solid and sensible and the "Saying Goodbye" segment at the end hit much harder than the original, I nearly cried! 10/10!

As a massive flash fan, i enjoyed the original. but there were things i wanted to take out. being in the process of making my own edit i checked out FOTW. this is a very well done edit. cuts are seamless, the opening title sequence is spot on. i would've liked if more of the barry2 annoying stuff was taken out but that's me. music choices were far better than the original.

Overall a very well put together fanedit made by one of the best out there. ive seen the rest of their dceu lineup and this one is right up there with them. Great watch! keep up the good work

By far the best version of The Flash yet.

The original film was an absolute slog to watch; horrendous CGI, bad acting, a messy story.... Most of these problems were solved here, and some scenes that cringed me initially, here I loved (first in mind is the baby shower).

The audio is a total delight for the ears, the new musical additions are great, and I love every single track, with a crush for Don't Worry Be Happy, which just grew on me. But Micheal Keaton's intro is by far my favorite change concerning the audio aspect, a great example of less is more.

Visually, there are still some VFX shots that aren't working, and some instances where we feel like something was excised, even tho the cuts are seamless. But that's not a huge deal, since the movie is better off them.

No, visually, the editing is brilliant! I personally LOVE the new intro, that scene was made for Keo to be repurposed into an awesome opening credit, and the final shot of the movie, pure joygasm!

Narrative-wise, kudos, on how Keo handled the trial subplot and His smart use of VFX to take the story where He wanted it to be. His hard work really paid off, an untrained eye won't suspect a thing! Plus, a small-scale ending is far more compelling and satisfying, than whatever the hell we got originally.

If I recommend it? You bet I do!

Another movie made less bad. Still not great, but infinitely better.

Technically, Keo is an excellent craftsman and his achievements throughout this project are impressive. But in his quest to remove certain lines of dialogue or to change the context of some moments, the inner pacing/rhythm of those scenes or moments occasionally feel off a bit to me. Examples of this would be the Lasso of Truth scene or the two Barry's and Underwear scene. While the original versions may be cringe inducing or overly ridiculous, they have a narrative beat, that once removed, the scenes play slightly more awkward.

All the cuts vastly improve the pacing and individual character beats. Some cuts are more subjective than others. Personally, I loved the original version of all the cameos, so I was disheartened by the truncated version.

The new music additions are great, the audio levels are nicely balanced and serve the narrative emotion very well. Though I thought maybe they could have used a bit more underlying ambience. Particularly with the new ending, as I thought the background ambience dropped out far too sudden before Barry super speeds offscreen.

But wow! What a fun and satisfying new ending. Barry learns his lesson, thus becoming a genuine hero and the custom end credits are exceptionally charming.

On the whole, a remarkable improvement and very entertaining.
Thumbs Up! :)
