Star Wars: Abridged is meant to tell the Skywalker saga as succinctly as possible, taking all nine films and cutting them down to three. While many narrative threads remain the same, some have been vastly altered.

This is for the most part a hybrid of the various versions of Empire Strikes Back, bringing out the best in each. However, there are also a few original changes that aim to subtly modernize the film and bring it in line with the saga, but without changing the tone or feel of the original version. Some improved visual effects, a remastered sound mix, and improved color grading as well as one or two cuts.

I do not consider this a full-blown fan edit, as I am primarily hybridizing existing official versions of the film, keeping changes I can appreciate and excluding those I feel hinder the film. Of course, this is highly subjective, and everyone's perfect blend would be slightly different.

'Episode V: The Overclock Edition' is a thrash metal variation on the original John Williams themes for The Empire Strikes Back. This edit has been created to function as a suite of music videos for the new music. The story has been re-organized by location in order to flow more with the musical themes.

This is a ‘commentary documentary’, combining all of the know behind the scenes footage with audio commentary and text facts.

To remove the most offensive elements of the SE and try different improvements than what LFL made.

This is a sequel to THE WAR OF THE STARS: A NEW HOPE GRINDHOUSED, released in 2010. The goal is now to mix “The Empire Strikes Back” and “Return of the Jedi” while taking care of the changes made for the first edit. A lot of deleted scenes are also back in this edit. Some hopefully intertaining twists and more than 90 new special effects turn this project into something that I think is special even if maybe not as “fun” as the first edit. Or fun in another kind of way.

(This is not a “grindhoused” version, although some of the deleted scenes are looking old and the main sources used are from the Original Theatrical Cuts released in poor quality in 2006 as a “bonus” to the special edition DVD).
