Q2 has done a stellar job and capped off his edit of the prequel trilogy wonderfully. Thanks to his edits I can quite happily sit and watch the PT now without feeling I'm grinding my way through something just to get to something better! Thanks!

This is the first edit I've picked up in awhile. I enjoyed watching it as an Episode III edit, though personally I've still yet to find an edit that makes me like Episode III.

Editing out droid-speak is pretty standard and does wonders for the film. Not seeing C3P0 and R2D2 is a change I've always supported to the entire prequel trilogy. I really enjoyed introducing Padme in the bedroom scene rather than at the launchpad. It puts her pregnancy already within Anakin's knowledge. All the other trimmings were welcome. I like any edit that can pare down the dialogue of a film and let the action lead.

Every now and then I found a cut awkward, but when I could understand the intention I found myself able to accept it in the flow of things (sometimes I couldn't understand the intention). The overall flow worked very well except for some rare awkward audio transitions. The only awkward visual moments came when the end of a scene had been edited down and an optical wipe nearly cut someone off mid-sentence. I found Jimmy Smits transition from the Jedi Temple to the Tantive a bit awkward--it could have been spaced out with a later scene.

The OT continuity premise to these edits is something hard for me to get my head around. I'm somebody who thinks "4-6,1-3" not "1-6" but the approach is a great idea and an important one. For Episode III I feel this approach loses some striking imagery like the Emperor's rescue of Anakin and Anakin's surgery. At the same time it cuts things like the awkward "I dub thee, Vader" crap, "Noooo...", and others. I'm still not sure why Padme needs to be alive. But it was pretty seamless besides "The Other Bolyen Girl"'s source needing the contrast raised.

That's everything I had to say. I liked watching it and I think others who watch will enjoy it. Thank you for sharing.

Okay, this edit is great. The first thing you have to understand going in to this is that Q2 enjoys certain things and hates certain things which you may not agree with. The visual and Audio editing is perfect but there's one big problem, Q2 likes the pace and development of the original movie. In episode 1, he made it into a fast little action packed flick which was quite fun but here it's sloooooow. He cuts down tons of dialogue but ALSO cuts down battles and friendly banter and also any form of comedic relief, I completely understand removing the battle droids' voices but there has to be something there (3P0 and R2) to calm the audience down or to get the audience excited. This leaves a movie with a lot of dialogue for no reason and very little action in comparison. His edit does the same thing as the original but takes out cringe-worthy lines and some silly action. So if you enjoy revenge of the sith already, you will love this edit, if you hate almost everything about revenge of the sith, you will also hate this.

Q2, astounding work!

Great editing and a great vision of how the story ‘should have’ been told.

Good use of the deleted scenes. These add strength to the story.

10 out of 10.

As for your complete Fall of the Jedi trilogy; these edits sustain the mystery and rescue the movies from over-explanation. Agreed: ‘As the original prequel trilogy should have been’.

Oh, almost forgot to say, The Other Boleyn Girl... genius!

Thank you for the positive comments Salad the Hut. I’m happy you enjoyed the edit!

I mentioned it in the notes above, but I want to reiterate that the idea of The Other Boleyn Girl was not mine but that of an editor named The Cutter. I don’t think he ever released an edit of ROTS and only posted some clips, but the idea was a good one and felt it should be included. Just to give credit where credit is due.

Dear Q2, this work is magnificent.

I have watched your edit twice now, and I think it is the best Episode III edit that exists. Removing the droids, toning up the overall movie experience, and especially preserving the continuity of the saga, and the mystery in it, has for me rescued this movie.

I however still feel that the scene when Palpatine manages to throw Anakin into the Dark side is a tad weak… I would suggest, if you allow me to, to remove this seconds from this edit:

- Just cut from 56:39 to 56:45. Anakin’s feelings are better shown that way, I believe…

Before that, one minor change:

- Cut from 55:05 to 55:11. I think the movie gives a better experience in this scene, if we feel Mace Windu was going to kill Palpatine from the beginning.

And I would have kept the sentence of Obi Wan saying that he saw the hologram of Anakin killing younglings… I know its bad acting, bad dialogue, but it does not ruin the movie, and the cut you made is the only one in the movie that I feel looks not good.

Please don’t let this tiny suggestions make you feel I am criticizing your work… what I said is true, your work has resurrected this movie for me.

I am now going to revisit your edits of Fall of the Jedi I and II.

THANK YOU.

No criticism taken. I probably won’t be revisiting this edit, not because your suggestions aren’t good or appreciated, but because I can’t justify uploading nearly 40GB (Blu-Ray, AVCHD and DVD) for a few seconds of tweaks. If there were some major faults with the edits then it would be a different story, but as of right now I’m moving onto my next edit. But… never say never…
