Like the other reviews say, Dark dimensions is essentially the same film but now made timeless with some seamless trims to remove jokes that could date the movie. Highly recommended and expertly done.

I can make this really short: this edit makes the theatrical movie far more enjoyable, for me (didnĀ“t liked it very much originally because of the jokes and it was somehow irrelevant to me).
Bobson did ja great job technical and narrative wise.

I really got to thank Bobson Dugnutt for this edit! For me, Doctor Strange was one of those MCU films that, although it did not suffer from an overabudance of the usual Marvel humor, many of its jokes fell flat on their face, especially the repeating Beyonce joke and the magic-carpet-like antics of the Cloak of Levitation. Bobson Dugnutt cuts and trims all those annoying moments perfectly, seamlessly, resulting in a much better experience than the theatrical version. For example, trimming off the Cloak's comedic moments and watching it afterwards strangling that poor zealot, banging him on the floor and walls, came off as a much more fearsome spectacle than in the original film. And I can assure anyone who's interested that as a whole, Doctor Strange: Dark Dimensions is full of moments of such brilliance, like the Beyonce song replacement with a fitting song or the trimming of the Google Translate joke with that Edgar Wright-esc (as Bobson himself puts it) transition. My only complaint, if there's any, is the missing prologue with Kaecilius and his zealots. I truly understand where that's coming from and what the editor was trying to achieve, but it's just me wanting more of Mads Mikkelsen in the film! Nothing else to say, that's my canon version of the film from now on!

NOTE: I have two parts to my fanedit reviews: "Technical" for the quality of the editing (entirely, or nearly entirely, within the Editor's control, and "Narrative Enjoyment" for how much I liked the movie (the Editor only has partial control....you can only polish a turd so far).

Technical:
Perfection. I could not tell that this was not a theatrically-released cut of the film. Not a single jarring cut, or scene out of place, or confusing moment. Video and audio quality were excellent. You wouldn't know the film had been fan-editted if you weren't told.

Narrative Enjoyment:
Very Good. Bobson's edit has definitely improved the movie. He took it from a 6 or 7 to a 9 for me. I felt like I missed nothing compared to the original, and I felt like the introduction to magic and the Ancient One was more compelling than with the original edit of the film that included the prologue. And it's been many years since I've seen a movie that I thought wouldn't be better off by being trimmed by at least a few minutes, so the slightly shorter runtime is also appreciated. In spite of Bobson's efforts, Doctor Strange still isn't one of my favorite Marvel movies though, but it does serve it's function of introducing Doctor Strange quite well. I think part of the problem is that I don't find Stephen Strange very likable, even by the end, and also the movie really makes me want a sequel movie where he's in his full powers and is wearing the mantle of Sorceror Supreme. Soon.

There didn't seem to be too many cuts or changes from what I remember, but the movie is so much more enjoyable. Cut the dumb jokes, but it is still lighthearted like all the other marvel movies. It is way better than the original!
