Okay, full disclosure, I've seen a LOT of FanEdits. I don't use these forums a lot but I've also done several edits of my own and sometimes when people describe their edits they seem too ambitious. I felt like this would be good but for real, despite limits to resolution and audio, this is BEYOND what a lot of people think they're doing with their work.
Song choices were nice on top of being REALLY thoughtful about the character and the title/art work and bits from "Elektra" and "Forbidden Kingdom" were EXCELLENT. The image scrubbing for the bandana tails was INVISIBLE. I want to THANK UA again for doing this work and sharing it. As someone who became a fan of DD after seeing the 2003 movie as a 12 year old, this was like getting to dive into that movie with no shame/reservations.

This is the best version of this movie you can get! The only thing was I had wish a specific scene was moved to a different spot and I actually talked with the editor about it and we figured out that it was changed from the theatrical to the directors versions of the movie. So I was just used to it being in the other place.

This is fantastic and if the released version was this one, the movie would never have been as panned as it was and made such a joke.

Excellent job!

I first watched this movie in theaters back in 2003. At the time, it was my introduction to Daredevil, and while I grew to love the comics, I always found the movie to be a bit lacking. Later, I saw the Director's Cut and was pretty satisfied with that. I believed that was the best this movie could get. I am happy to say I was proven wrong.
First off, the change in the movie's structure really benefited the story. It created a solid arc, and I actually found myself invested in these characters. John Favreau's Foggy Nelson is definitely the one most benefited by this edit, and I was happy to see him bumped up to second billing. Speaking of, the new credits sequence was amazing, bringing in additional bits of Daredevil lore (Stick!) that should please comic nerds like me. On top of that, there were multiple references that place this in the larger Marvel Universe (worth a few repeat watches just for that). It really felt like the film that should have come out in 2003. Had that been the case, I expect we would have easily seen a Daredevil 2 or 3. Either way, this is the definitive version of this movie, with much more brutal action, less cheese, and actual heart. I can't recommend it enough.

WOW, this is just on of the best edits I've ever seen. All the cuts fits just so naturally, the fighting sequence are more brutal, the music choosen are beautifully used, loved the Marvel Knights logo and the Forbidden Kingdom flashback scenes. And the extras are extremely funny.
This a 10/10 for me, enjoyed it a LOT.

I've seen this one before a few years ago, and came back to see Daredevil in all its cheesy glory. UA has done an excellent job here at removing a lot of the fluff, unnecessary scenes and cringe to leave a stronger, darker film.

A/V Quality: DVD quality. Dialogue was sometimes not that clear on my stereo TV.
Editing: Superb. I did not notice any of the cuts, visual or audio. Very well done.

Narrative: Clear throughout. I feel that a bit too much was cut from the legal subplot involving Joe Pantoliano, as I wasn't completely following what was going on there. The final duel between Daredevil & Bullseye was cut, however I now agree with this decision as looking back on it, it wasn't necessary, and there was no reason for Bullseye to stick around.

In addition, the intro is very well crafted, and the DVD extras are hilarious.

Overall, this is an excellent edit that manages to cut a whopping 40 minutes from Daredevil yet remain coherent and enjoyable. Strong recommend.
