THANK YOU reeseevans for doing a MUCH better job with BvS than even WB could with their so-called 'Ultimate Edition'! Okay so let's get it straight: Zack Snyder has been mucking up the DC universe since day 1 and Batman v. Superman was a major kick in the balls. Batfleck was pretty good but his occasional willingness to kill totally ruined THE MAIN THING ABOUT BATMAN. Thank goodness reeseevans fixed that part lickity split! Superman is still supes but some of his decisions are trimmed into something more sensible. But as for Luthor.... sigh damn you Jesse Eisenberg. I mean... WHAT THE HELL, guy?!? He's still a little pain in the ass but definitely much less so. Great call on removing that entire Luthor in the alien craft part. It added NOTHING and was just plain confusing. Unfortunately all the editing in the world cannot fix the reasons for Batman and Superman to fight instead of yknow TALKING FIRST. And short of refilming or doing some serious dubbing the entire 'Martha' b.s. is still a dumb as hell reason for them to stop fighting and being besties. With that said, this version is still roughly 102,404,288,185 times better than the crap that was in theaters or the Ultimate Edition. If you must watch Batman v. Superman THIS is the version to hit up!

This edit does exactly what it sets to do - eliminate everything related to the "Dawn of Justice" side of the movie and focus on Batman vs Superman.

Does it work? Hell, yeah.

I, myself, share the same opinion as Reese regarding the original movie. All the Justice League stuff felt like they don't really belong and are there because the company is rushing the shared universe train.

The quality of the edit is great. Didn't notice any issue there.
I had no problem with audio and video editing. Though, sometimes I felt something is not right and had to re-watch few scenes several times. I guess, it's only because the original movie is always in the background of my head. Bottom line, I found nothing wrong or missing.

The story felt more focused. I like that we don't have a monster villain. Well, we actually do: a different kind of monster - Lex Luthor. And dare I say: Luthor was much more tolerable in this edit.

I like DC's serious, gritty approach to the source material. However, I felt like there needs to be some more action in the middle of the movie. Otherwise, it gets kinda boring with all the investigations, plots, politics and morals. This is not something the editor can fix - the editor is working with the available material. But, I cannot fully enjoy this movie. Though, this edit miraculously didn't pull me out of the film. I watched it beginning to end at one sitting - something I honestly cannot do with the original.

This is a great alternative sequel to "Man of Steel" that doesn't tie in to DCCU continuity, but is fun to watch, nonetheless. I definitely recommend it.

I might have found my new favorite version of BvS.

So, I actually liked 'Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice' (or at least the Ultimate Edition), but it is true that it has some (major) flaws. The pacing is indeed kinda off at times, which is something this edit improves on a lot. It simply didn't need to be a 3-hour-long movie.
I think the decision to cut all the Doomsday and Wonder Woman stuff improved the movie a lot -- it helped it stay much more focused tonally, in my opinion. Yes, both the Theatrical Cult and Ultimate Edition of 'Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice' are pretty dark and serious throughout -- which is something this edit doesn't change, and something I really liked about 'No Justice' --, but it always bothered me how Snyder's original film went from an almost a political thriller in the first half to being an action movie with a huge monster on the second. By cutting the Doomsday part of the film, 'No Justice' managed to make the movie stay somewhat grounded in reality (or as much as it could have been).
The only problems I had where with some of the transitions between scenes, which were mostly unnoticeable, apart from a few where the music of the two scenes clashed, in a way. The biggest flaw I can find in this edit is just that the Batman warehouse scene wasn't meant to be the final action scene of the movie, so the pacing in this edit dwindles just a bit, but after that scene it picks up again for the last five minutes of the film.

Honestly, thank you for this fan edit Reese. It gave me the experience I originally wanted from Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice when it first came out in theaters exactly one year ago today.
