When I first watched this movie in cinema I think I almost fell asleep. So many unnecessary moments and sub plots.
I really applaud this edit for making the movie much more enjoyable (especially the ending, feels much more fitting).
I recommend this fanedit to anyone who felt like the original BvS was not good. This version fixes it.

Thank you reeseevans!

I know this is not a recent film, I know I have taken quite a while getting around to watch and review this, I'm fully aware it's already won Fan Edit of the month and rightly so -
I have seen BVS far more times than I'd like to remember. There is so much bloat in the film and thankfully Evans has removed the majority of the bloat giving us a very streamlined film that is about Batman vs Superman, nothing more nothing less.

In removing the Doomsday plot we lose the need to introduce many characters who are just there to wink at the camera and say "hey we're here for the sequel" Perhaps Doomsday and Wonder woman can be worked into a smaller short by someone else but I'm completely fine with their lack of appearance here.

There is a small flaw as pointed out, about as to why Superman would just Let Bruce go after the thugs holding Martha without joining but I didn't care, this was the movie I wanted to see with the kind of Batman sequences I wanted to see and I don't particularly care if this doesn't fit in with the fake out 'superman is dead' that the Justice League movie will probably start with, this is the perfect follow up to Man of Steel.

Thank you.

Evans has created the prefect version of the muddled, cluttered, long film. The edits that streamline and refocus the film are invisible and masterfully done. While the film itself is still not perfect with it's plotholes, Evans has cleaned it up and made a superior viewing experience. For myself, this has replaced the theatrical and ultimate cuts of the film.

The only negative thing I have it say about it is a nitpick really and it's that there is a bit of background nice during the “It’s time you learned what it means to be a man.” line. I'm sure it can't be fixed, but the new line fits perfectly.

Congratulations to Evans for crafting what the original film should of been, Batman vs Superman.

Totally recommended, both from a techical point of view (you never see a rough transition, or feel that there was a scene left out somewhere) and from the end result (more entertaining, the main story does not get watered down by too many sublots).

Exceptional work on a film I did not believe could be redeemed. A bloated narrative that only passively delivers on the 'versus' component of the story is no longer. Bruce's irrational, but somehow understandable hatred of the Man of Steel shines through without distraction and Alfred's disappointment rings with more weight than the original. The cold and distant Superman remains, but the question that lingers gives us pause. Can an all-powerful alien be trusted to always do what's right? Does every being have a price, a breaking point? The lost characters are perfectly removed and an appropriately timed story remains. The scope feels smaller and more personal and while no longer an epic fantasy, leaves a far more enjoyable one.
