This edit of the movie is fantastic!
I watched it through from start to finish without having the feeling that even a second was stalled. Everything makes sense in the cuts and the re-editing and it truly deserves the good rating this fanedit got.

I have to admit in the first third of the film everything moves so quick, making me feel that my blood pressure went up a bit, I don't know if this is due to the fast pace of the original theatric cut and just not a lot could be done here to slow it down a bit, or if some for this version "unnecessary" scenes were cut and the rest was put togehter in a way that speeds up the pace that much. So in a way this makes me understand why the original directors of these movies put in some bloated scenes to make the films less "stressful" to watch through all the many happenings that unfold in front of the audience's eyes. I also have to admit to now having to go through the change list after watching it.

This version to me is the superior one compared to the original cut and the go-to-version for this film and I recommend it to everyone who wants to enjoy Batman v Superman.

There were so incredibly many details changed and cuts made, but they all blend together amazingly so that I never felt like watching a fanedit, besides maybe the above mentioned super fast pace of the first third.

Really the only very small thing story-wise that I realized immediately was that there was a cut when Lex Luthor is in the spaceship, hence not showing him cutting his own hand in order to take control of the ship. Later on, on the roof of his building talking to Superman he lifts his hand and refers to blood, having his hand bandaged for apparently no reason. But I don't think that this will really perplex anyone, and much more important is that the scene of Lex in the spaceship was cut heavily, which I loved since I found these scenes and all it's details unnecessary in the theatric version.

What I liked the most from all the changes, was how the end of the fight between S and B was beautifully edited and the entire scene makes much more sense now for both characters.

I can honestly say only the most important scenes for the story to unfold how it should were left in this movie, all changes were done with a lot of passion, love for the movie and time, for which I personally want to thank the editor, which became one of my favorite faneditors of them all after watching this movie, mad respect!

Partly a cut/paste of my JL review...

I just finished watching Wakeupkeo's edits of BvS, JL and most of MoS, and I'm coming away very impressed. I think the highest compliment you can give any edit is that it's the only version you will watch in the future, and that is definitely the case for these terrific versions of JL and BvS. I never really had any problems with the theatrical edits of MoS or WW, so I'll probably stick with the originals for those.

I enjoyed a lot of things about the original BvS, but it also had a few "c'mon man" moments that were either a bit too out of character or were just outright corny (Martha). This edit expertly removes the few things I hated and streamlines the rest of the movie to give it a much more engaging pace. I doubt you'll notice any rough cuts or transitions.

The only minor technical issue I had was with the sound. My receiver is reading the mix as Dolby Digital, but it seems to be encoded in stereo (no center, no surrounds). This could be specific to my setup, but I thought it was worth a mention, especially with my having no other criticisms whatsoever. Kudos on an excellent edit, and thank you for your work on it!!!

Well this edit was one I was really looking forward to. I saw Batman v Superman in theaters got disappointed, heard good things about the ultimate cut bought it went from a 6 to a 7.5 at best. Coming off Wakeupkeo Man of Steel edit my expectations were set, and in my opinion has made the definitive version of Batman v Superman.
It really is amazing how a few tweaks can drastically change a movie: the infamous Martha, email, and Bruce's childhood scenes have all been fixed, Batman and Luthor have been significantly improved. The pacing flows more better and was more enjoyable to watch. I noticed the soundtrack was changed for certain scenes making them more tonally appropriate.
The only edit that was just a little jarring to me was when Batman grapple hooks the car and drags it. I know why it was changed that way it just felt random that there was now a damaged car just conveniently placed there for him to use. But I can let it slide I guess Metropolis has a junk car problem.
I am now curious what changes he did to Wonder Woman as I really liked that film high praise from this viewer.

Finally get to see the version that this movie always should’ve been. So much of the excess is removed that adds way more focus on just Batman and Superman. I love that the story is presented as a sequel to the events of Man of Steel as opposed to the events of the Africa incident. This really brings all of the elements together in ways the theatrical and ultimate editions could not.

The biggest improvement here is changing Lex Luthor from an annoying and weird performance to quite an intimidating presence by simply outsmarting everyone using his intellect and resources. He now feels more like an eccentric genius instead of a Looney Tunes character, and actually foils Superman in his own way without an elaborate master plan. It shows how much a story can work when there’s a much better villain.

Overall this is the best version of the movie I think we’ll ever see and it’s a must watch if you want to see the potential that this movie had.

YES. So much better. I have been looking for an edit that changes the motivations and narrative. Wakeupkeo is able to smoothly cut the silly parts, and rearrange others to make it feel like a much more cohesive story. Removing Martha as the reason Batman does not kill Supes, and using the murder of his parents is a much better motivation.

I really have no complaints. The sound quality was not quite perfect, but I may have used an outdated file. The Dark knight flashbacks were a little odd as I have seen them so many times, but overall, this is a much better movie.

Thank you!
