Brief Synopsis:
Bruce Wayne is forced to confront his dual nature as Batman as a brilliant megalomaniac and a psychotic district attorney wreak havoc over Gotham.
Intention:
This edit was inspired by the abandoned editor's cut, created by Thatguywhoedits. There are two reasons I chose to make this edit. The first was to create a version that honors the editor's cut. The second was to make the best possible version of Batman Forever that can possibly be made. Cutting and trimming out the worst and most unnecessary pieces, while also keeping the best parts from the editor's cut, it is my belief that this is the most impactful version of the film to date.
Other Sources:
Upscaled deleted scenes
Batman Forever Soundtrack
Various sound effects from my own sound library

Editing Details:
My starting point was from the abandoned Editor's Cut, which was the backbone for the edit. I cut out a deleted scene or two that I felt wasn't necessary (such as the hairdresser scene). I also decided to further trim and cut out some scenes from the original theatrical version that were either implausible or added nothing to the film. Finally, I took some inspiration from the color grading of the Red Book Edition, and did my own spin by only keeping the yellow, cyan, and magenta colors of the image (with some bits and pieces of red kept in during Robin's scenes) and desaturating everything else to black-and-white to stay faithful to the comic book style of the film while also giving the film an added sense of grit that was lacking in the theatrical cut.

+ Added thunder and lightning sound effects to Deleted Scene 1
+ Added Holy Rusted Metal to Deleted Scene 1

-”I’ve really gotta get you out of those clothes…”, “Excuse me?”, “...And into a black dress.”

This was a fun watch!
I never completed watching the original, could never get through it, but I did with this one in one sitting. Perhaps this verifies the improvement in quality. The story, while may not pull you in altogether, it did not feel nonsensical.
The grading may not everyone's cup of tea, but I liked it. It along with the grain made the movie look like comic book sketches with splashes of colors thrown in. It certainly gave the movie a more aesthetic appeal while the choice of keeping the magenta, yellow and cyan saturation allowed to retain the same playful aspect of the original.
The audio felt perfect. I am not giving it a solid 10 for video/audio quality as some of the deleted scenes kinda stuck out.
The edit itself was mostly seamless. There are a few spots where abrupt cuts may be noticed, but maybe they couldn't have been cut in any better way.
Overall, it may not appeal to all Batman enthusiasts (which is obviously not the fault of the editor), if you are like me and looking for a good edit of this film, you should certainly check this one out!

I really enjoyed this one. Batman Forever is the kind of film that can be rejiggered in many ways, here Eyepainter creates an even more unique viewing experience through a mix of desaturation and keeping in a mixture of colours. It's very much a cosmetic makeover applied to film! The narrative flows pretty naturally the rest of the way, with everything unneccersary that was cut, from dialouge to scene, scarcely missed. If you're finding it hard to choose which Batman edit to watch, place this at the top of your list and put it on for an improved experienced for a good to great entry in the canon.
