Wolverine: The James Mangold Restoration, The

An extremely well executed edit, and a significant improvement over the original. The only downside is the end feels a little abrupt, only because there isn't material to extend it further. All of the cuts were completely seamless, and everything looked and sounded great to me.

I've always had a soft spot for this film, so having this alternate version exist, and be executed so well, is a great thing.

This was an interesting fan edit to watch. I will not go into details regarding the narrative changes as it was already mentioned in details by other fellow reviewers. Certainly one thing stands out here is Wakeupkeo's love for the original movie. He completely changed the mood of the movie. The film feels now like a neo noir super hero movie. It is better paced and a lot of unnecessary scenes have been trimmed to serve the new mood of the film.

I went into this fan edit clueless and had no prior knowledge on James Mangold struggle with the studio. This fan edit reminds me of Paul Schrader Dying of the light cut which elevates the orginal movie

So is Silver Screen Samurai better than the original cut. Maybe not, but one thing is certain is.. Wakeupkeo ability on giving us a wonderful new take on the Wolverine. Well done and hope to see more edits from you in the future.

I really appreciated the smaller scope this edit turned the movie into, and I wish the theatrical version leaned more in this direction.

This edit now has made it one of my favorite X-Men movies with the removal of Viper who I did not like very much, and the Silver Samurai fight which was just alright.

If only there was a way to make the ending feel not as abrupt, it would be all 10's for me. This will be my main version of this movie moving forward!

For the content that was available, this was a great edit. The ending was a little abrupt for obvious reasons, but at the end of the day this is now my preferred way to watch this movie. Thank you.

This Fanedit is my go go version to me, 'cause I remember watching the Theatrical thinking that like ''there some flaws but it looks nice''.
But then when I read a information about James Mangold original idea for this movie, I felt suprised, that the Villians, the viper, and the Mariko's grandfather (being a villiain too) was like any kind of Superhero movie would be, but for him, it wasn't, and I kinda like his original Idea, it make me imagine a while watching the Theatrical and Extended Cut a whole different film with his Idea.

Now the visual still looks great, the Audio it needs a little work on that, but anyway, looks good, the narrative with this version looked interested, except the ending, I prefer the alternative ending where Yukio gives Logan the Wolverine suit, you know what I mean? Still, looks good, and I don't care what anyone says, James's Idea looks much better without villians, and I wish James could watch his idea coming to light, thanks to us Fanedits.

So that's why this version is a go go to me, I definetly recommend this edit, it looks great.
