Additional Notes:
A few short sequences that were not present in either the Theatrical cut, or the AMC-HD broadcast are not HD but have been sourced in the best available quality.

I didn't know what Godfather, the whole trilogy was, but my mother knows, she watched it, and I started to see that, it went well, the whole cast, the director, did a great job too, and then I became obssesive with the Fanedits, I watched more and more of that, even this one now, it look good, there's no criticsing this version, please watch the Theatrical and this Fanedit, watch both of em, It'll blow you away.

Overview - Stellar work assembling various outtakes and scenes from various editions.

Video - 1920 X 1080 AVC. Odd bit of TV business at 1:16. Fade to blacks seemed longish at some points.

Audio - 317 kbps AAC. 2 Channel stereo. No subs, aside the hard-coded during Italian language sequences. Good use of sound for transitions. Dialogue clear (aside from Brando, and unfair to nitpick for that).

Narrative - This is a rich, immersive experience. It has been a decade since I’ve watched the original. This version has all sorts of extras seamlessly edited in. Everything a Godfather fanatic could desire.

Enjoyment - Very much so. The additions act layers in an already textured quilt. They are not necessarily game changers, but Genco Abbandando gets a respectful farewell and Clemenza … man, any extra scenes featuring Clemenza is great by me.
This is over three hours, so switch off the phone and settle in. Rushing will demean this, a terrific edit.

What an amazing watch. The Godfather is an all time great and seeing footage I'd never seen before was a real joy. A/V editing is seamless, couldn't tell where the deleted scenes had been inserted. My only critique is that the original film & deleted scenes have occasional A/V issues, but nothing major.

A belated review since I watched this in 2018 and now again as a prelude to watching the new Part 3 Coda. So I wanted to refresh.
I have to say, I can't get enough footage of these movies and for me this version is like eating more of your fave food even after you feel full. I just can't help it.

I can't mark this down for the inherant issues that some of the source material has, coz that's as good as you will get so by it's own merits, this is my go to version: PERIOD. If you want't it all, it's here and seamless.
Thanks

I look forward to part 2 (if I can get it).

This is the Godfather, can it be even better? Well, it seems it can and all the extended scenes feel as seamless as they should thanks to this editor's amazing work. Watch this and thank him for taking the time to recover those lost scenes that make a unique film even more amazing.
