It's tough to be critical of a superhero movie, but after Nolan raised the bar so high with The Dark Knight, it was almost inevitable that The Dark Knight Rises would fall short of expectations. I enjoyed the original movie, but it's tough not to shake my head at some of the choices that were made. Suffice it to say, I was looking forward to this edit.

Simply put, this is one of the best FanFixes I've ever seen. The A/V quality is perfect. I don't even want to think about the amount of work that was required to edit such a score-heavy movie. NJVC's cuts are seamless. Every cut to the narrative is well thought out as to not leave any plot holes. And the cuts themselves greatly improved the movie. The ending was absolutely perfect.

This easily replaces the original for me. Highly recommended.

Out of the Batman trilogy part 3 is the one i haven't revisited that often, though it may not be as good as the previous two it's still better than your average summer blockbuster movie. NJVC has cut what overs have mentioned a rather bloated film to a more faster pace and resulting in a more enjoyable film.

in the previous two installments i felt the narrative and enjoyment were effected when bigger aspects of the story were cut in part 3 they work far more effectively. i did miss Scarecrows cameo but at the same time it's removal works, same also for the more romantic story line between Bruce and Talia. the biggest improvement is the ending though i did feel a little sad for Alfred when you see his final words on screen.

part 3 to the batman saga is a fitting end to what has been a enjoyable trilogy of fanedits from NJVC

I just finished the njvc Trilogy. Out of the three films in this saga "Rises" has been the disappointment, until now. A great fan edit will re-introduce you to a film you have seen numerous times over the years. njvc has remade "Rises" and in my opinion lifted it to it's rightful place in Batman lore. We now have a the final chapter that we deserved as fans.

This tighter cut of "Rises" speeds the pace of the film considerably. In my opinion this was one of two major flaws in the theatrical cut. The second problem was the bloated story. The political aspect of the film, the anti "Occupy Wall Street" story never fit in well and felt like it was added just to make a statement. Also, the late introduction of characters kinda gave away the big baddie reveal in the end. njvc solved both of those issues.

The happiest moment for me was the fix to the final Joseph Gordon-Levitt sequence. I actually stood up in my living room and cheered. Although the theatrical release reveal of Gordon-Levitt's character was fun I always felt they missed a great opportunity at a better reveal. I'm happy to see I wasn't the only one who thought of this. njvc brought my suspicion to life with cleaver editing and I applaud him for doing such a wonderful job at it.

This is now my go to version of the film in this trilogy.

Great cut, always love watching njvc's work. Technically flawless, although I did notice Bane's voice was higher in the mix than everything else, I'd assume that was on purpose so we could understand him.

The first half of the original movie is pretty rough, for example I find that whole first scene in the plane unnecessary. njvc left in that scene but did a fine job at improving the rest. All of the changes involving Selina are great. But the second half of this edit really takes off. Pacing was perfect, and I could not take my eyes off the screen. Also of note, he did a great job making the cop fight at the end less ridiculous.

Thanks deadohiosky, Neglify is correct, the volume of Bane's voice is unchanged from the original sound mix. After the backlash regarding Tom Hardy's muffled performance, they raised up the volume to crazy levels, but at least you can understand him now! Thanks for watching and reviewing, much appreciated.

I love Batman Begins and Dark Knight as they are, so I jumped straight to njvc's 3rd edit as I always thought Rises was just too long. Couldn't be happier with this edit and it delivered exactly what I was hoping for in almost every way. I was glad the court scene was removed because I'd rather not see it considering Heath's Joker couldn't deliver it as originally intended. Great job njvc!

Thanks for the review slisson! TDKR was the most tricky to edit of the 3, so great to hear you had fun with it.
