When talking to people I often find I'm in the outs with my love of the original cut of Jackie Brown... I adore this film so I was intrigued to see what was done with this one... I don't know if I would have picked the Louis/Melanie parking lot scene to open on but that's just my opinion... I rest of the movie flowed very well and I rather enjoyed this "to the point" version of the film and it fit well within the theme and scope of the overall project. I didn't love all the music choices but once again that's just personal preference and in some cases felt the original music fit better.

I would definitely recommend this one and a few personal choices aside it was a great edit!!! Well done futon88

This was a really fun way to watch Jackie Brown, which in my opinion is one of Tarantino's most under-rated films. Some excellent choices when playing with the timeline of the film. Does a good job of keeping the truth out of reach and not really letting you in until really necessary. The placement of Louis and Melanie never felt right in the edit though. I'd imagine explaining them too much and keeping it at an hour had to be a challenge. Very cool music choices and everything fit in perfectly. Definitely recommend this edit if you want to watch Jackie Brown but not commit to the full runtime. Thanks for the hard work on this one futon88.

It's hard to know what was cut from the viewing; I have seen the original film a couple times, years ago, and this episode retells the story in a lean sixty minutes, and I didn't see any plotholes or problems with that. Excellent work.

Oh wow; this thing is kind of a miracle! Somehow, the twisted plot of Jackie Brown is condensed into an hour, and it still works. I didn't get lost, but I was never fully "in on" what was happening, if that makes sense. Yeah, it's quicker paced, but because of the way the truth is kept at a tantalizing distance, I didn't mind that we were jumping around a bit. It felt like a necessary stylistic choice to tell the full story in a satisfying way. Loved to music replacements, too. 10s across the board. I can't recommend this chapter enough.

So. . . out of all the episodes. I was probably most interested in this one. Jackie Brown is honestly my least favorite Quentin Tarantino movie. but mostly because it can feel rather long.

This cut was fantastic. I really enjoyed watching it. it was quick paced and cut out a lot of unnecessary exposition and unnecessary scenes,

The only part I missed from the original was the full trunk conversation, but that's the assignment. I had to go watch the end of the original to compare. I love where he chose to end the film,

This is better than the Original
