When I viewed Rogue One in the theater, I thought it was just OK. The story seemed choppy, the character development lacking, the action tedious, the music a bit flat, and there were a few cringe-worthy fan service scenes. TM2YC's edit has dramatically improved all these issues!

I had a much more enjoyable time watching this than the theatrical release. It flows better, and develops the characters more assuredly. The altered scene order makes more sense. The music changes gave me more emotional connection with the characters. I especially enjoyed the slight trims to the battle of Scarif (and Jen's ordeal in the tower) to make things flow more quickly.

The only thing I missed from the theatrical (and the only cut that I kind of noticed) was the abbreviated rebel conference, I would have preferred to have that entire scene, I think. Also, the audio seemed a bit uneven with explosions being really loud compared to vocals - but that could be the case in the source material.

But really, this is excellent work, and my new canon. Great job, TM2YC!

I must say this edit is near-perfect for me. However I don't care about the changes that make it fit more in line with the original like the crawl, I actually disliked the old logo and the missing planet names.

I agree with the actual story edits very much, and I was positively surprised to see the mind reader alien was not removed, I find it to be one of the grittiest scenes in all of Star Wars. I have not watched this with the original side-by-side or back-to-back but I feel the edits are indeed vastly improving the film. I hope I could give you details on that.

What more could one ask for from an edit this flawless? Oh, that's right: how about an absolutely immaculate video quality? Sure the largest file is massive at 20.4gb on a last-generation codec but that only means you can recode with x265 and maintain a crisp preservation-worthy quality at ~4gb. That spells perfect in my book!

Rogue One is a solid, enjoyable Star Wars movie, and TM2YC is an outstanding editor. So my expectations were high going in. Both the movie and editor happily surprised me: it turns out there IS a better R1 hidden inside the theatrical cut.

The narrative edits that really added to my enjoyment of the movie:
- The opening crawl and music, followed by the pan down from star field to planet. I expected it to feel merely like a gimmick, but this really does add a thrill of recognition and excitement.
- The sequencing of the characters introductions. The story flows better now.
- Removing the Krennic / Vader scene. The original scene was frustrating (Wait, I thought Krennic reported to Tarkin. Now he's reporting to Vader? So, is he Tarkin's peer? I'm confused.). Yes we lose a Vader scene, but now the relationship between Tarkin and Krennic stays central, making both of them stronger for me. And we thankfully lose the idiotic staging of that scene (Really? Why must the empire always include a bottomless pit in their structures, and with little or no railings to prevent accidents?)
- Multiple short trims to the final battle (in space and on the ground). Removing a few weak moments improves the overall pacing.

The technical edits are outstanding, as expected in a TM2YC edit.

TM2YC's narrative editing helps the story shine brighter, and his technical prowess makes the changes seamless. This edit convincingly replaces the original!

I've seen both, Rogue One The Battle of Scarif May and Star Wars Rise of the Rebellion - A Rogue One Edits and TM2YC's edit is very good.

I'll begin with a few things i don't like or i think could be improved.
1- Opening scene with the ISD next to Lah'mu when Krennic's shuttle Pteradon passes by doesn't look good to me. It is an ISD from ESB and it doesn't play well with the camera movement. I suggest removing this FX.
2- Death Star reveal: The overall idea and music/sound is great but the FX could be improved a bit. The desert planet IMO doesn't fit well and there is no sense of movement to Scariff (rotation) nor to the DS and her fleet from afar. It doesn't ruin the experience though. =)
3- I HATE the Bor Gullet scene, sorry TM2YC, and IMO, in that regard DigModiFicaTion's Rise of the Rebellion dealt with it very well, by removing it.
4- X-Wing engines are red in Eadu fight scene (EXCELLENT!) but they are purple again in the Battle of Scariff (ohh noo =(( )

These are my reasons for not giving 10 to Visual Editing and Enjoyment.

Apart from the things I've mentioned, i salute TM2YC for is hard work and vision. =)
I'll mention a few things that IMO, he nailed very well in his edit:
- COLOR CORRECTION! Excellent effort
- The reorganization of the movie into a more cohesive vision and narrative (EXCELLENT!)
- Many sound and FX effects that work very well to the best of his abilities so far
- Vader is used in a different and interesting way (EXCELLENT!)
- Krennic is presented in a more powerful way, adding more weight to is character (love Krennic, R.I.P) (EXCELLENT!)

Overall i'm very please with this edit. Great Work TM2YC. Hope you fans like it too.
