Brief Synopsis:
Prometheus SE cuts out a lot of the unnecessary humor, dialog and scene's, building stronger, smarter characters. Removing many plot holes with the story and just general things that have issues. Such as Fifield getting lost in the structure, running in a straight line away from a rolling space craft. Deleted scene's or certain shots from the deleted footage was re-integrated back into the movie by either using several shots to change certain scene's or by adding a whole new scene to the film. All new material was color corrected, scored, sfx added and leveled to appropriate audio levels.
Intention:
To create a better more intelligent version of the movie, with stronger characters, less humor, less plot holes, and more in the heart of Alien.

Also available in full Blu-Ray 3D

I really thoroughly enjoyed this edit when it came out as it fixed a lot of the issues I had with the theatrical.
I love that the engineer fight came back along with the fifield scene and such, really added to it.
What felt wrong with this edit as with the theatrical though, is the colouring and cripsness of the film. This really needed a much more grim feel like the original alien had rather than the mostly sleek hd vibrancy it ended up having.
I also can't work out why every edit of this film I see includes the TEd talk, usually at the beginning, its such an uninspired promo scene that doesn't really set up the atmosphere or the narrative in a meaningful way.

The original Prometheus from 2012 was really hit and miss for me... Some scenes were great, just to be followed with unbearable dragged-out sections.
Here the narrative is improved a lot! It makes sense, the flow is never interrupted, it grips you and never lets go. The film doesn't became perfect but it looks as close as it can get
Many thanks to Agent 9 for all the work!
As other reviewers have said before, some of the deleted scenes that were added here (with otherwise great editing work) have some issues with the audio mix. But that's likely because of the source material, and Agent 9 did the possible best with it

Prometheus was kind of a devisive movie. Some, like myself, loved it and others found it just ok. It's not that I loved every minute of it, but if there wasn't a fanedit, I would be perfectly happy with my bluray version. Let's say my overall enjoyment factor was a 9. When I was looking for fanedtis of this and the "Covenant" (which I hated), I found out that this and the "Giftbearer" version by Severian, where the top two. "Giftbearer" was actually more preferred by the people, but the quality was really really bad, and when watching a film like this, with breathtaking visuals, it is impossible for me to ignore a low quality, So I went with this one. Why I wanted to watch a fanedit in the first place, since I was happy with the original? Well, I always love a good extended version of a movie I like, because it, usually, enriches my experience! I just love good, rich lore.
So, this has indeed a higher quality, but unfortunately, it's still not that great. At least I could watch it without having the quality ruin the entire film for me. The audio visual editing was in general excellent, with the exception of the sound which had some minor issues here and there, with the music being too loud and it was distracting from the dialogue. Also, after about half an hour, I believe the audio gets a liiittle bit out of sync. In VLC player, I had to adjust the audio to +0.400 in order to be in sync with the actors' mouths when talking.
On the narrative side of things, yes, this was definitely the ultimate edition of this movie. Cutting out the Engineers at the beginning, adding the TED talk, extending other scenes, trimming some with bad decisions from the characters etc, were all very very welcome and made an already great film, superb!
I wish I could say this would be my go-to version in the furture, but for quality reasons alone, I just can't. It's 2022, at the time of this review, and image and audio quality are sky high and I just can't go back to DVD quality, it hurts my eyes. My bare minimum is a clean 1080p. BUT, if anyone doesn't care about this, I most definitely recommend it and I assure you it will be your go-to version! But even if you are like me, you should at least watch it only once, just so you have a second, more complete and streamlined version of the film in your mind. So when you watch the theatrical, you can just fill in the blanks in your head.
Thank you Agent 9, I really hope you will consider ugrading the quality, and thanks to anyone who read my review!

I really don't have that much else to say that others haven't already, and I could very easily just copy+paste my review of Giftbearer onto here if you want to know my thoughts. Like Giftbearer, this incorporates previously deleted scenes into the Prometheus narrative to create a much smarter and more satisfying experience than the version released in theaters, and it does its job very skillfully. All deleted material is integrated into the story excellently and it flows much more swimmingly than before. Again, like Giftbearer, fantastic stuff.

I'm one of the people who actually liked Prometheus when it came out, although I certainly wasn't blind to its flaws. The story was told in a very convoluted way, but my main issues have always lain with the lack of character development. Anything else that gets fixed is a bonus.
Visual/audio quality - Visual was good, audio was mixed. Deleted scenes, although well integrated visually, were often noticeably lower audio quality, and sometimes when the volume ramped up it felt like the mix was struggling to breathe.
Audio during the Ted Talk, specifically, was phasery - particularly during applause.
Visual editing was fine. I didn't notice a single (visual) cut.
Audio editing was mixed. One cut was jarring, most of the rest of my qualms were with the rescoring. All of the soundtrack references from other films were noticeable and distracting. Although it's a nice idea, I don't think it worked. The score would often fight for dominance over the dialogue as well, which isn't ideal.
"ok then, on with the show" - felt too sudden, having had dialogue removed prior to it. The removal of "never had to follow a dead guy" was a bit awkward as well.
Narrative - I watched this with a friend who'd seen the theatrical before and found the story confusing. He felt the edit made things much easier to grasp, and I would agree. The story flows better and some character motivations make more sense. Pacing also benefited.
Some of the tiny cuts, particularly towards the beginning, I wasn't a fan of. They felt awkward and robbed characters of little chunks of development. Some examples:
Fifield's "I'm outta here" was rushed and random. No follow up from the other characters. He just leaves without anyone batting an eyelid. I get people don't like his tantrum, but that's his character. Better a bad character that makes sense, than an underdeveloped one whose actions are unclear.
Deleted scene with the captain in blondies quarters (post-flamethrower murder) makes little sense since them sleeping together was cut. The last thing between them was him asking her if she was a robot. If they had slept together then there would be a degree of intamacy and her letting him into her personal space would be more believable.
On a positive note, I thought the running in a straight line was very well handled. It never bothered me before as I thought the shot was cool, but the new sequence worked really well and was more logical. I was also happy to see the extended final fight with the engineer make it in.
Overall, a good edit, but I would still watch the theatrical over this, chiefly because there was a lot that took me out of the film audio-wise. This was mostly on the right track though and I intend on checking our other edits that tackle similar aspects of the film.
