As someone who didn't mind the theatrical cut, I decided to watch your edit after reading a number of positive reviews and I have to say I'm happy I did as this is a much better movie overall. This wasn't a bad movie in general but the whole Chris Pratt feeling sorry for himself took away from other elements of the movie, you have managed to transform this movie into something great by moving elements of the story around and doing a few tweaks here and there which makes this the superior version to watch.

As someone who steered clear of the theatrical cut, I decided to watch your take on the material after reading a number of positive reviews. I'm glad I did. This was a fascinating look at love, the human struggle against loneliness, and the will to protect one's fellow passenger.

Jennifer Lawrence is a generational talent. One of the reasons that I avoided the theatrical version was it looking to focus so heavily on Chris Pratt and him moping around. This edit fixes any potential narrative flab and -- as another reviewer mentions -- heightens the mystery elements in the process.

Across the board, this is a beautiful looking and sounding film. A few spots have too sentimental music for my taste but that cannot be helped I suspect.

I've seen a number of fan edits on here that rank as stellar experiences and this ranks among them. This isn't an epic film in need of a longer cut. At 82 minutes, it offers a subtle look at two people learning to forgive and move forward. A great lesson compared to so many sci-fi films that cast humanity in such a negative light.

I'll make sure to keep an eye on your future edits!

My apologies for the lack of comments on a lot of my more recent fanedit reviews. There's only so much I can say "the editing is great, the A/V quality is great, the changes are great, etc." on a review without sounding like a repetitive droning robot. Anyway, this edit is a very welcome improvement on the original film, rearranging the story in a very smart way, resulting in a much more satisfying and thought-provoking experience.

Major kudos to macmilln for taking an interesting idea from that YouTube video about rearranging the parts of Passengers, and actually doing all the work to edit it together in a mostly seamless way using just the footage available. It's quite a feat, and this version is unequivocally a much better version of the original concept. I liked the premise in the theatrical film but felt it was lacking in several ways, and this edit addresses most of them.

I know the edit itself was done a few years ago and it's asking a lot, but it'd be amazing to see a new version based on the 4K video and Dolby Atmos audio available now.
