I watched this one last night as part of my 31 Nights of Horror and all I can say is... Man, what an edit!!! I'm probably in the minority of people who actually enjoy part 3, so it was very interesting & entertaining to see how LS combined it w/ the forgetful part 6.
I also recently checked out LS's "Jaws 3 Monster" and this guy is a genius... can't wait to see what he comes up with next!!!

This edit was a masterclass of editing and sound mixing. I think that a lot of passion went into this project and overall I did enjoy it. I Personally went into this edit thinking that there was going to be some bold narrative choices to make this kind of a one shot sequel to Halloween 2, I don't know why and a lot of my confusion and lack of enjoyment was due to that which is COMPLETELEY on me and NOT the edits fault. (I don't know why I thought I didn't need to rewatch the thorn trilogy to prepare for this), I love Halloween 3 and always wanted to see Michael kind of mixed into the lore of SAMHAIN and the PLANETS ALLIGINING and all that without loosing that classic Halloween feel. I think this edit kind of gave me my fill of that and I appreciate that. But its very hard to scavenge what was the mess that was Halloween 6, Its hard to care about the characters, Michael is turned into this "little boy victim" and just a lot of weird narrative decisions that came from the producer cut like Michael R4ping his niece? (Not that the theatrical cut is any better.) Anyways this review has pretty much turned into me rambling. Overall I think this edit was bold and I commend it for that, If your going into this thinking its going to create some epic new lore for Michael and fix Halloween 6 while bringing the amazing film that was 3 Into Michaels story you will be disappointed. I don't think that this edit was trying to do that though, I just think that its a passion project with stellar audio and video editing and some cool lore and narrative ideas to pull from, Watch this edit! Great job man.

I enjoy it very much. Great Editing. The commentary was good too. I liked you put the music & T.V. Halloween commercial to the 1995 movie, nice job. Also the bad guys monitors you put from Halloween 6 was great too. You can tell some of the clothing style between the movies but that's ok. Like you said on commentary you can tell the difference Halloween 3 was DVD & Halloween 6 Blu-ray but its a small difference. I can see the editing was a lot of work, Good job on it. Keep up the good work. Thanks for the edit.

This might very well be one of my favorite fan edits of all time! I absolutely LOVED this!

It's remarkable how well the two films parallel and compliment each other. From both starting on a rainy night, making the events feel so close together, to the ending infiltration of cult operated facilities. It's almost like they could cross over any second! And though they never meet, this still feels like one vast story! The pacing of this fanedit is really incredible. The custom made intro (and ending) credits set the stage for an epic story, and the use of music and expert sound mixing throughout the entire film make the transitions between scenes feel seamless. While it takes a little getting used to, it eventually doesn't feel like you're simply watching two movies playing simultaneously. The way LastSurvivor highlights the parallel story beats from each film is brilliant, and I think really elevate both individual stories. Danny watching the Silver Shamrock commercial is a beautiful touch that provides a satisfying cross over moment. As does the edited security monitors to show where the Cult of Thorne are in their progress.
It's a shame that we won't ever see a proper sequel to the producer's cut ending of Curse of Michael Myers. But somehow, by pairing it with the ending of Season of the Witch, the combined bleakness and loss of both somehow gives a stronger sense of finality.

Like many, I always make a point of watching something from the Halloween franchise around the holiday every year. This year, I watched a series of fan edits instead, to experience the franchise in a new way. I've always liked Season of the Witch, but have often skipped it in franchise rewatches, but that will likely never happen again thanks to this edit!
Recommended pairing: Ryantology's Halloween: 10 Years of Terror and Bobson Dugnutt's Halloween 5: The Haddonfield Harvest
