This probably isn't going to be my strongerst review as I haven't seen Matrix Revolutions since it was released on DVD. I however re-watched Reloaded some couple years ago.

This fanedit is such a double-edged sword. The first part was surprisingly good. The story was pretty easy to follow and it was very enjoyable to watch, especially those awesome yet somewhat cheesy action scenes. Then something happens, the movie takes a deep dive into absulute garbage. It's possible or even likely that Revolutions just is so inferior in all areas compared to Reloaded but I wonder if it could have been salvaged by cutting (a lot) or in some other ways.

I was left with a bad taste. Now we got an enjoyable over the top cool action movie to be followed by a very confusing and boring second half. This is the reason I can't recommend this fanedit much... only diehard Matrix fans probably like this. According to the other reviews, there are/were plenty of those around :)

Audio/Video quality was excellent and Visual/Audio editing was good but suffered a bit from scene changes. Many of them seemed quite obvious and weren't that seamless.

Overall not very enjoyable experience due to deep dive in enjoyment in the latter part of the film due to Revolutions being what it is. Enjoyment gets 6 only because the first part was cool.

Over and out.

Jerick combines Reloaded and Revolutions into a better narrative then we were given by their makers. For me it's made Revolutions part of something really good. Before it was a film I could not watch through after seeing it first in the cinema.

Thanks for what must have been a huge job. Hope many get to see it.

A wonderful edit from Jerick which combines Matrix 2 & 3 which you would think would be impossible to do and kept the story intact but this edit does it perfectly and keeps some of my favourite scenes in such as the mansion fight, the freeway chase and my favourite scene of all the burly brawl. Jerick removes anything that is useless and doesn't need to be the the movie which helps speed up the pace and is now my go to version of the sequels.

This is why fanedits exist.

Although it's been said a slew of times in the comments here, it truly can't be understated: this was an -extremely- ambitious project. For those that haven't watched this yet, stop reading here and go check this out. If you're whatsoever a matrix fan, this deserves to be watched.

First of all, the cuts and timing of this edit are simply flawless. It's extremely hard to tell where Jerick has fused two scenes or altered timings. That, in and of itself, its impressive for a cut that so drastically changes the story.

The reloaded portions of this cut, in my opinion, are where it shines. A lot of the rough CGI portions are excised, storylines compressed or removed entirely, it's unbelievably impressive what he was able to do to retain the elements that work and remove the ones that hinder the plot. Revolutions, unfortunately, is just a bit flawed at its very core but Jerick does a lot with what little is there.

A true must watch of a fanedit if there ever was one.

My favorite fan edit ever.

After the success of the original Matrix, the creators decided to follow the story with an animated film a video game, and 2 full-length feature films all to be released in 2003, this ambitious task resulted in the 2 sequel films suffering from too many unnecessary scenes, a lot of needless subplots, confusion because you need to play the video game and watch the animated film, Annoying characters that shouldn't be involved in the story, etc...
There is still a good story in all of this mess thus, Matrix Reloaded and Revolution are some of the films with the most fan edits.

Personally above all of them "Matrix Revolution Decoded" stands out, not only does it fix everything, but it solves all the them in a clever way that improves the story and enhances the themes of the movies that weren't well explored in the original.

I see some people who don't give high scores because they don't like the narrative changes, but even if you don't like them the alternative solutions that the fan edit provided still make sense and allow the editor to cut a lot of bad moments, that would hurt the film.
The movie is 100% enjoyable from start to finish and it is on the same level as the original Matrix.

Watching the original now feels like watching a parody of this fan edit
It doesn't matter If you have never seen the Matrix sequels, hated them, or loved them.
Don't be bothered with them anymore and watch this instead
