So much better than the original. This cut reinstates (as much as possible given the source material) the tensions of the book and the 1980s version.

It's a long watch but IMHO the definitive way to watch and shorter than watching the two originals.

Everything I could say has been said better below.

I've found that horror movies are extremely difficult for me to watch and enjoy after seeing them once or twice, but I pushed through because I wanted to see how this edit played out.

In short, flawlessly.

Well done my friend, my only complaints exist with the source material, and I do not believe you could have done a better job. This followed the book extremely well from what I remember (admittedly, it's been a while) and using classical music to re-do certain scenes (namely, the opening shot) was very tasteful, and I loved it. I will be recommending this edit to anyone and everyone, regardless of whether they've seen the originals, a goal I believe all edits should strive to achieve!

Extremely well-done edit, matching (as closely as I remember) the structure and editing of the book. Possibly a bit long for a single-sitting, it still brings the two halves of the story into an enjoyable, single whole. One of the issues I had with the original release, specifically for part 2, was that the effects felt less real and more Evil Dead. This edit helps defuse that a bit, with the wilder CG effects scenes being mixed in with the slightly more subdued effects shots from the first film, giving a more even tone throughout. I would definitely recommend this to fans of both the book and the two films!

Extremely well realized "purist" cut that renders the Muschietti diptych as close to the book as it is likely possible. If this is the structure that helps it work on screen the best is subject to debate, though, as there are bits in which it is apparent that the filmmakers intended a different structure, and to be honest the pacing would have some room for improvement. That is, however, beyond the intentions of this edit, which as a "book cut" is an astounding success. Editing is invisible both regarding video and audio, and special attention has been applied to details such as the font used for the chapter headings, the same seen in the most iconic printing of the book. I particularly enjoyed the cut from young Bill shooting the fake Georgie to the Ritual of Chüd and back again, and the parallel cutting of both films' climaxes. A/V quality is high, though both the 8GB and the 16GB files have small video rendering glitches at the start and present slight artifact in the darkest areas. Very good job overall, which will leave Stephen King die-hards very satisfied, even if I'm not fully convinced that this is the best form these movies can play if approached purely as cinema.

I was so lucky to stumble on this awesome edit of "It: Chapter 1" (2017) and "It: Chapter 2" (2019) into a format closer to the narrative of Stephen King's novel.
I didn't even notice that this movie was 4 hours long because what this does so successfully is balance the adults story with their narrative as kids. It gives the story more weight and keeps it moving right along. It actually makes Pennywise seem scarier cutting back and forth between films.
Had I not told my partner that this was a fan edit, he would have never guessed, the quality is perfect. I look forward to watching again and would recommend this to anyone.

Update: I watched it again last night, and you'll hear complaints that It Chapter 2 (2019) wasn't as scary as it was with the kids. That the movie didn't explain them being scared by Pennywise, and it is so clearly evident that the reason why that happened was because all the adult sections were sandwiched into the 2nd movie, it didn't hit as hard as it does in THIS edit.
