First I want to thank lapis for allowing me to see this. It was the first fanedit I ever requested and they couldn't have been more gracious and helpful. I really enjoyed this edit. I always thought Incredible Hulk was a movie that just needed to be filled out and while trimming some of the Norton-ian fat. This edit does that. I appreciated the expansion on Samson's character and I never realized what an unnecessary device the heart rate monitor was. Good job on upsizing the deleted scenes. That is a major pain in the to make it blend, especially since the color grading on the deleted scenes was never completed. Great job. Definitely see it if you're someone that feels like Incredible Hulk was lacking in some way.

Hulk: Struggle for Control is a bona fide shelf replacer for the original theatrical release of the movie. This cut of the film is more tighter-paced than the others and adds in a lot of relevant deleted scenes that improve the narrative of the greater MCU with mention of the super-soldier program and the new opening scene that Banner later mentions in Avengers. The deleted scene's upscaling isn't noticeable, but the color grading in one scene, where there is a close-up Gen. Ross' face, looked a bit warmer than the rest of the movie. Other than that nitpick, this is a great fanfix. I would normally skip Hulk in rewatch marathons, but now this cut will be added to the rotation.

This edit is a definite fanfix. It fixes many of the issues I had with the theatrical release, as well as some issues I hadn't realized were really bothering me in Tomahawk's extended Edition.
I really loved the complete removal of all references to the pulse meter. It was an unnecessary plot device and felt off-character. There is actually one brief scene where the beeping is still heard loudly - at the 20:53 mark.
I also greatly appreciated how this edit redeems Betty Ross. She seems way more assertive and capable than she did in the theatrical cut. Well done!
Another kudos is for the integration of 'the consultant' with the original post-credits scene. It really helps cementing the interconnectedness of the MCU.
One small suggestion: when Bruce enters the college's computer lab and experiences a flashback to the experiment, the footage is the same as the one used in the opening credits. I think that's redundant.
All in all a wonderful edit, and I believe it definitely fulfills its goal to flesh out the narrative with the footage from the deleted scenes while maintaining good pacing.

It's been many years since I watched the original, but after Episode 3 of What if? I was drawn to watch this edit. Honestly, its fantastic, the Doc Samson scenes really made the scenes between Bruce and Betty more tense for me. I also really like the removal of the heart monitor, making the movie fall more in line with the comics and the rest of the MCU. My only issue was that the deleted scenes were a bit low quality, but I know this couldn't have been avoided so its not really a big deal.

The theatrical version of Incredible Hulk was at the time enjoyable and fine for me but after the mcu journey I had been waiting for an edit that made this movie feel more properly connected to the mcu rather than feeling disjointed. Lapis has done brilliant work incorporating and upscaling the deleted scenes so that it's not super low res. The deleted scenes themselves also add so much more to the movie with the mentions of the super soldier serum and adding more to characters like Ross, Blonsky and Betty's boyfriend. Also the removal of the beeping watch is a welcomed change. The whole pulse watch element causes massive inconsistencies with Bruce later in the mcu.. Also Betty feels more capable in this edit and adding the consultant short into the post credit was genius,

Overall the experience was more enjoyable and this edit is my go-to version for the incredible hulk. Cheers again lapis for allowing to watch this edit,
