So, Halloween as a franchise, where to begin. It has more timelines that is enough to make the MCU blush from embarrassment. Halloween 2018 was a great movie in my eyes, even if it had a disastrously bad final entry. There were a few bad jokes and deleted scenes that should have been in there. Your small tweaks from trailer shots and deleted scenes alike make this a tighter movie. Good job. I give this a 10/10 all across the board. I would recommend this to any first time watcher or repeat viewers, like myself.

While Halloween 2018 was a good movie, this edit greatly enhances its strength and eliminates its weaknesses. The reordering of scenes really makes it a better viewing experience and the editing between them was seamless. Would recommend this to any fan who wants to have a new viewing experience of the 2018 movie.

I can’t say enough. It’s edited like a movie studio would edit. It gives no feeling of fanedit what so ever. This should’ve been the version released. I am shocked to hear there are over 130 changes because it feels so natural. He slows the pace down and creates a dramatic and epic Halloween sequel. If you like Halloween 2018, you will probably like this more. The wheel is not reinvented, but it’s a much better presentation of what could’ve been. The addition of deleted scenes is great. This is without a doubt worth the watch. See for yourself.

I'm a longtime fan of slasher horror films and Michael Myers was always one of my favorites, Can't say that I like many of his movies though. Let's say I like the "trilogy", Halloween (original), Halloween 2 (not so much though) and H20 as a semi-decent, complete closure. Rob Zombie's reboot had potential, but fell flat on its face. So when this was announced, I was excited that I would get a second chance for a different trilogy, now officially quadrilogy, that includes the original, on the saga of Michael Myers. Unfortunately, I did not like this one. I found it mediocre at best and a wasted opportunity. My enjoyment factor was like a 5-6. So giving a shot at a fanedit in order to potentially salvage it, was a one-way street.

Technical-wise, it was flawless. Great audio/picture quality and superb editing! I didn't notice or "felt", at any point, that a scene was tampered with. So, excellent job here!

On the narrative side of things, the most important side, this light trimming and restructuring of certain scenes, did wonders! I seriously downloaded this thinking, there is no way that light editing will save the film for me, but whatever, let's watch it. Oh boy, am I glad I did! The changes were so spot on, that I started doubting myself if I didn't judge the film fairly the first time. I couldn't believe that I was actually really enjoying this! And one change that I definitely have to mention, is the ending. The editor removed the firemen going to the burning cabin where Michael was, making the film a standalone sequel to the first one, BUT, it doesn't exclude the sequel (if you liked it), because it picks up from there, showing the firemen etc. So, whether you don't like the next two movies and you want a closure or you do like them, this edit works both ways!

So, I most definitely recommend this edit and I believe it will be your go-to version! Now, if you completely disliked the theatrical, I don't think this will work for you, as it is not an aggressive-plot-changing edit.

Thank you The Butcher and thanks to anyone who read my review!

I had many small gripes with the official cut of the movie. To the point where it really started to annoy me and I couldn't even complete a re-watch of it. This fanfix is outstanding and it somehow completely erased most, if not all, the gripes I had with it! As if the faneditor could read my mind as he was assembling this version. Every change is done wonderfully and skillfully. Didn't notice any audio edits or jarring visual edits. It's all done so carefully. The pacing and suspense have been greatly improved. The narrative is much tighter and stronger. No more awkward and out of place humor. I also like how the violence got dialed back. A big improvement in every aspect. I finall got REAL enjoyment out of this movie. This is my go-to-version now. Highly recommended!
