Finally, I was able to watch this edit, and it is another masterpiece from BionicBob. He has used his skills and, with surgical precision, he has removed all the fillers and unnecessary stuff in order to make a cohesive and fun fan edit.

The multiple storylines and motivation of our beloved characters running at once do not feel rushed and it never feels like it is a 2 hours running time.

One can notice that BionicBoc really love these characters and that love is reflected in this fanedit.

The only moment I was lost was with Flash & Iris’ daughter from the future and some other scenes, as I did not watch all the Arrowverse shows, it was a bit confusing for me.

After being a bit disappointed with Black Adam and the last Marvel movie, it has been a great pleasure to watch this wonderful fanedit.

Bob has set out to create a primer that properly leads into the CW’s Crisis on Infinite Earths. He certainly has his work cut out for him, since instead of taking the CW’s crossover events & tightening them up, he has taken on the herculean task of going over the beginning of each show that directly leads up to the Crisis. 11 hours of TV, condensed into a 2.5 hour movie.

The movie that this edit reminds me of most is Cloud Atlas, as the cuts are more motivated by emotion & theme as much as, if not more than, plot progression. For example, When Oliver hears about his sister’s overdose on Earth 2 in the Arrow portion, we cut to a funeral in the Flash portion. Very smart editing, creating an almost dreamlike sensation flowing in and out of the different shows. That said, there are times where the haze of the dream lifts.

For instance, when Malefic transforms into a T-Rex, we cut to Starling City on Earth 2 briefly before going back to Malefic. It’s a brief moment that reminds you that these are edits of tv shows that have commercial breaks, so in that way the choice is justified, if slightly unfortunate.

Malefic’s introduction also felt off to me. I wonder if the scene with him and Mar-Novu could’ve came after Nora’s message to Barry & Iris shorts out, since that would also help transition back to Starling City on Earth 2, which is also part of Novu’s machinations. Alternatively, the scene with Malefic & Mar-Novu could’ve been after Barry decides he’ll see the Crisis himself.

On a lighter note, I felt we need a prior introduction Well prior to the one we got, & a crowd of people appears right after Lex’s suit explodes. However, these are minor quibbles. To call what Bob’s done here impressive is an understatement. Both this edit & Part 2 WILL make you hyped for the eventual COIE edit, that’s a promise!

A Crisis is coming.....

Upon hearing of the intentions behind this edit, i was intrigued to learn how BionicBob would pull it off. There is a lot of backstory and character building in the lead up to Crisis (across all the Arrowverse shows) and this edit would be no small task. The end result.....BionicBob does it again.

This edit is masterfully done. from a technical perspective, the editing is flawless. Visually stunning and there were no audio issues noticed in my viewing. The scenes and story beats that were chosen from all the shows all contribute to the characters stories and add to the stakes of what this will mean going forward.

My only nitpick would be that at times, the narrative felt like it was drifting away from the core focus of building to Crisis. Specifically, i felt the Blood Work arc from Flash Season 6 contributed little to the narrative that was not already being explored by the other flash season 6 scenes with Barry coming to terms with the knowledge of the impending Crisis and how he chooses to deal with it.

Other then that, this edit completely works in fulfilling Bionic Bob's intentions to produce a worthy build up (Countdown) to the most significant event in the Arrowverse history.

I cannot stress how much i enjoyed this edit.

A big thank you to BionicBob for all the hard work and effort that went into this. I cannot wait to experience the part 2.

The countdown has begun.....

This was a great edit that I wasn't sure what the end result would be because at no point do our heroes cross paths. If anything, the bridging character is The Monitor. This is a very unique and fun way to see how all of these stories build towards the inevitable and what motivations our heroes have when the crisis arrives.

As I followed the progress on this edit in the forum thread, I was worried that it would feel like a long clip show that gave us the essential info, but I'm glad that that is NOT the case. While we do have multiple stories running at once, they are all as fleshed out as they can be and it never feels like its 2+ hour running time. At the point that these episodes had aired, I was still fully immersed in the Arrowverse, so I remembered most of what was going on, but anything you don't remember can be inferred in the dialogue. I will say that this is not something to dive into blind. You really need to know each show to follow what's happening, but honestly, who is watching Infinity War/Endgame without watching at least a couple of the movies that came before it?

Bob's Arrowverse movies are needed now more than ever with Marvel's newest phase being a bit daunting and subpar and DC films going through it's own crisis and eventual rebirth. Like his previous edits, they are a reminder of what was good in the Arrowverse and leaves you wondering what it would've been like if they weren't bogged down by large episode amounts and could have the freedom and budget to make half the amount of episodes with a better focus.

While the world is running to see Avatar 2, I'm here waiting to run and watch the next BionicBob Arrowverse edit. Keep 'em coming!

Master editing, and assembling such a rich storyline spread between multiple shows into one single straightforward storyline is outstanding. To now it's the "darkest" point our heroes went through since I started following BionicBob's ArrowVerse edits, wich is hooking me up 'till the end.
My only complaint isn't toward BionicBob who did the best he could do to bring all these series together, but on me who didn't followed all the ArrowVerse shows, that's why I got lost at some points (Batman's cowl on the island, Flash & Iris' daughter from the future. . . etc). But overall, it's a great watch.
