I came into this thinking that I’d just be watching the exact same movie , just broken into 4 parts based on important story beats. What I got was a complete restructure of The Batman. It’s the subtle changes that not only change the feel of the story but the pacing. This is a pretty incredible feat and really really cool way to take in the story. I 100% recommend it.

This edit nixes the film's universal point of criticism. If you don't already own the film, this edit easily makes the purchase worth it. DonKamillo has turned Matt Reaves' The Batman into the biggest budget miniseries of all time. Out of the 10+ theatrical Batman films, this is one of the few that 'gets' Batman (for my money, up there with Mask of the Phantasm and The Lego Batman movie).

His editing excisions and additions are inspired, to say the least. I didn't find the final third of the film a problem like many did, but I can't argue with how effective the results are.

Thank you so much, DonKamillo, for your hard work. In my eyes, at least, was absolutely worth it. Five stars all the way.

I already loved the theatrical edition of The Batman, but I did immediately realize it was going to be struck with "Dark Knight Syndrome", where a superhero movie I really enjoy is inevitably bogged down with a long runtime. Don Kamillo has fixed that major issue making the story more accessible right outta the gate, couple that with some extremely creative cuts and edits and you have, imho, the ideal way to take in this phenomenal story! Cannot recommend you check this one out enough. An older review summed it up best: "If you loved The Batman, watch this edit. If you hated The Batman, watch this edit."

I'm not going to nit-pick over miniscule 'how-much-under-10' my ratings are - this work is a straight 10, no quibbles!

I'll fess up and say TheBatman was practically the only film I've been to a cinema to see in AGES - I was really looking forward to it...
[I'm not much of a lover of Super Hero movies - I like real-ish characters, not cgi magicians. Batman is different - he's almost normal!] So I wasn't prepared to be disappointed, but I was really p***ed off with it [might have had something to do with the f***in' clown in the seat behind me who, somehow, managed to make their popcorn last for the entire film - I s**t you not - it drove me NUTS!!] it seemed endlessly morose, visually dark and, at best, mumbly.

DonKamillo I [once again] bow down in gratitude of/to your amazingness - this is a Masterpiece and is now a completely coherent and (re)watchable mini-series - I won't ever feel the need again to watch the 'official' release.
There's nothing to dislike here, hell the length is no longer an issue [I mean WHO, honestly, has 3+ hours to trudge thru anything??
LOVED it - Thanks for your stunning work, Don

There were very few things I didn't like about the Batman, and the biggest thing was the length. Watching in smaller chunks was so much more enjoyable. This movie works perfectly as a miniseries, and Don Kamillo pulls it off exceptionally well. I watched an episode a night and was always left wanting more.

Couldn't find anything wrong with the editing over the whole series except for one small section, about 3 seconds of footage during the car chase, where the framerate drops. Other than that the editing is flawless.

The new title cards and credits sequences are beautiful and really sell the miniseries feel.

I was also happy with everything that got removed and rearranged. Just a minor nitpick, I think swapping the final two scenes and closing the last episode on the Riddler and Joker scene would have been a better outro than the Alfred one, but either way I'm glad he chose to move the Alfred scene to after the climax. Worked really well.

Great job Don Kamillo! This was a fantastic edit!
