What else can i say, this is so much better than the TC. Cutting the whole Triskelion prologue serves a better purpose for Scott Lang as a main character while also makes the pacing of the movie flows a little bit better. The deleted scenes also make up a better setup for the heist and Scott's initial meeting with Hank. It's amazing how little cuts and a few deleted scenes can make a movie so much better. This cut is my go-to version from now on. Definitely recommend!

I will say when I first watch some of these super hero movies I tend to snooze. Personally I think there are too many. And they try to out subtle joke each other. That being said, this titles with the cuts made it actually kept my attention. And I was interested in what was going on. I am a bit biased here as I watch as many of Bobsons edits as I can. Especially the TV to movie edits, they are fun. As this title is, Bonson for me has a string of good edits going. On my little popcorn scale I will give this a 4.5 out of 5. Only because as I said there are too many super hero movies and like Star Wars sometimes in my mind they bleed together. Looking forward to Bobsons next edit

Bobson is back in the MCU, serving up micro-portion of the original Ant-Man!

While I did enjoy the edit, I do agree with Joseph that this edit does Darren Cross little favors. While the use of deleted scenes were fun, I thought that the music in the second scene could've had a smoother fade out, or even keep the music but cut it off or turn a sour note when Scott says to call the Avengers. I also thought it was weird, with the first deleted scene that we see Scott adjusting the cable before an establishing shot of the house. That should've been done backwards.

Also, this is in no way Bobson's fault, but this viewing hit me on how everyone gives their opinion on Scott's big heist *except* for Scott himself. All he ever says is that he changes tactics, but we don't know if he thought it was a cause he believed in or if he was just in it for the money. I had a concept idea of intercutting the trailer scene of Scott & Cassie hanging out/lying down at her birthday party with the scene of Cross telling Hope what a failure of a father Hank was, the idea being that the juxtaposition would make the audience judge Scott as a bad dad/bad guy & make his redemption all the sweeter.

I also had an idea of using the scene of Cassie playing with her bunny and recontextualizing it as an imagine spot Scott has when he's making the ants lift the Penny, cutting it off when Cassie asks if her dad's a bad person. The idea there being Scott thinks of himself as small to move the ants around, but again, never tried these out in practice. Bobson, feel free to use these ideas if you ever decide to do a 2nd version.

At any rate. if you weren't a fan of the first movie, give this version a shot.

Bobson Dugnutt never fails to provide high quality edits, with cuts so flawless you would never know they were there.
I'm a big fan of the original Ant-Man. It's definitely a pallet cleanser in the larger MCU, but an enjoyable one, thanks largely in part to some fun performances.

The Ant-Man: The Pym Particle Partition makes some great changes, most notably the inclusion of a very fun deleted scene where Scott Lang cases Hank Pym's house. That said, there are some scenes removed that I did find myself missing, including the opening flashback scene (which I admit isn't entirely necessary), and the introduction to Darren Cross with the first Yellowjacket presentation. Through editing, Bobson Dugnutt was able to creatively restructure another scene as Cross's introduction, and it works quite well! However, I find that without the initial intro scene and a few other scenes cut out, Cross gets far less screen time and becomes an even more generic and forgettable villain than he already was in the theatrical cut.

That said, this edit runs at a clip! It's perfect if you want to binge the Infinity Saga and want a shorter gap between Age of Ultron and Civil War.

Edit: to the person who downvoted, you don't have to agree with my opinion. But I'd like to think I provided enough information and detail to consider my review "helpful." I gave the edit many compliments, I just didn't rate it as high in my personal enjoyment factor. 8.8/10 is still a good score.
